Start The Change Today!

“Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.” Lamentations‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭

As the month changes to December, it reminds me that we often get a new beginning, daily. We tend to put off changing even when we know we need to. We tell ourselves that we can change later. The Bible says that God's mercy renews each morning, so why don't we start each morning off by changing for the better? There is something every single one of us can work on. No matter how good of people we are we all have our issues and things we could do better at. I find myself being snappy towards those I love sometimes, and I have started working on that. Today, start using that mercy that has been renewed. You can change your life today. Ask God to help you change the things that you need to. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease.” Lamentations‬ ‭3:22‬ ‭ “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a loyal spirit within me.” Psalms‬ ‭51:10‬ ‭ “Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and make me willing to obey you.” Psalms‬ ‭51:12‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
