'Tis The Season Of Jesus!

““Where is the newborn king of the Jews? We saw his star as it rose, and we have come to worship him.””Matthew‬ ‭2:2‬ 

‭Jesus is the reason for the season. We are in the last two weeks until Christmas, the next few weeks are rushed. We are going to be finding the perfect gifts, wrapping presents, and spending time with those we love most. In the midst of it all we have to remember the real reason for why we are celebrating in the first place. This season is about something other than what we can give but what we have already received. We received a Savior, who is Christ our King. No gift in this world that could ever be given to us could amount to that. Today, remember the real reason for this season. Celebrate Jesus more than anything that the world could give. Don't get lost in the traditions of the world. Although we can enjoy them, we should remember the true meaning of Christmas. Here are some verses to reflect on today! “Jesus was born in Bethlehem in Judea, during the reign of King Herod. About that time some wise men from eastern lands arrived in Jerusalem, asking,” Matthew‬ ‭2:1‬ ‭ “And she will have a son, and you are to name him Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”” Matthew‬ ‭1:21‬ ‭ “but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.”Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ “The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
