Worship God!

“But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way.” ‭‭John‬ ‭4:23‬ ‭

I have been listening to worship music all day for the last few days, I'm not one to listen to really worldly music but I do like country music. I have realized a change in my spirit. It's amazing the impact that Christian music has on us. It's uplifting and reminds us of the true God we worship. I have realized that sometimes we just need some time with God and in His presence. Worship music can make us feel so much closer to God when we choose to worship Him, in all seasons of life. Today, find some worship music that you like and show your gratitude to God, know that whatever season you are in God is up to something even better than you can imagine. Worship in the trial, waiting, joy, brokenness, or any other season you might be in. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” ‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ “Worship the Lord with gladness. Come before him, singing with joy.” Psalms‬ ‭100:2‬ ‭ “I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak his praises.” Psalms‬ ‭34:1‬ ‭ “Sing out your thanks to the Lord; sing praises to our God with a harp.” Psalms‬ ‭147:7‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
