Be Ready!
“And he will send out his angels to gather his chosen ones from all over the world—from the farthest ends of the earth and heaven.” Mark 13:27
The argument between pre-tribulation and post-tribulation views has been ongoing for as long as most can recall. These views essentially mean that some believe the children of God will be called up to heaven before the end times begin, while others believe this will happen after all the signs have occurred and Jesus comes on the cloud. Personally, I have always believed in the post-tribulation view, after the coming of Jesus. I believed this because who would spread the Gospel to lost souls if all Christians were gone? Tonight, I sat down for a Bible study and read in depth most of Mark 13. I read the verse at the top of this blog and realized that the post-tribulation view is correct. The verse right before it says that Jesus came on a cloud. That confirms that it happens after the coming of Jesus. Although knowing which view is correct doesn't matter too much, I know some may want to know what my prospective was on it, and where I learned it from. Deep down we, as Christians, know that what really matters is that we are prepared for Jesus’ second coming. My entire life, my mom has told me a saying that has stuck with me: "Don't get ready, be ready." Today, no matter whether you believe in the pre- or post-tribulation view, be ready. Get your relationship with God right; why waste the time that you don't have to waste? Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then everyone will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds with great power and glory.” Mark 13:26 “Don’t let him find you sleeping when he arrives without warning.” Mark 13:36 “And the Good News about the Kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, so that all nations will hear it; and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:14 “But the one who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:13
