Test To Testimony!

“to tell about the light so that everyone might believe because of his testimony.” John‬ ‭1:7‬ ‭

I went through a lot of things in the last few years, even since starting writing these blogs. I would catch myself questioning why God allowed the test to come, but as I began to pray I realized that how could I ever have a testimony without there first being a test? See we want the blessing but we don't want to wait, we want to find a spouse but not willing to go through heartbreaks before you find the right one, we want a new car but not willing to take anything less than a dream car, we want a new house but don't want to start with what we can afford for now, we want a new job but don't want to work at the one we have. Today, think about how everything in life starts with a test, when we learn to be content with where we are and where we want to be will come. When you pray for God to give you a testimony to tell remind yourself that it begins with the test. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.” Job‬ ‭7:18‬ ‭ “Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surely you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭13:5‬ ‭ “Since we believe human testimony, surely we can believe the greater testimony that comes from God. And God has testified about his Son.” 1 John‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭ “Sing praises to the Lord who reigns in Jerusalem. Tell the world about his unforgettable deeds.” Psalms‬ ‭9:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
