What You Once Prayed For.

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭

At random times it truly occurs to me just how blessed that I am. We often take things for granted, and tend to forget that the life we are now living is a prayer we once prayed. I look at my life a year ago and then look at it now and see the way God changed every aspect in all the ways I prayed for. I truly am living the life I once prayed to have. How many times are we grateful for something for a moment when we first receive the blessing but tend to begin to take it for granted once we have had it for a while. We all are guilty of this and at times we even forget that God is the only reason we have the things that we do. Today, take time to tell God just how grateful you are for the things you have. The way you now have things you once prayed for, know that someday you will receive the things you're praying for in this moment. God will answer the desires of our heart, and He will bless His children.  Never stop being grateful for the things God has done for you, those blessings are only possible through Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Thank God for this gift too wonderful for words!” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:15‬ ‭ “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭ “The blessing of the Lord makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it.” Proverbs‬ ‭10:22‬ ‭ “Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
