Worth The Wait.

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭

God's plan is always worth the wait. We as humans are so quick to try and make things happen on our timing, when we don't know what is coming next. I remember a time in my life God told me to be patient and wait, I waited for a while and decided it was time to give up I was bored. I made things happen on my own and looked back to wishing I had of waited for God to open the door instead of me doing it myself. It wasn't what I thought it would be and would have been better if I had waited for God to choose what would be next. We cannot take things into our own hands and ask why God allowed things to happen. We each have a free will but that also means we have a choice to choose what we want or what God has chosen for us. What God chooses for us will always be better than what we can make happen for ourselves. His timing is perfect and we need to be patient. Today, when you are tired of waiting for something sit back and relax. Know that in the perfect amount of time God will make things happen for you and it will be so much better than you could have ever imagined. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ “Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭ “For you are free, yet you are God’s slaves, so don’t use your freedom as an excuse to do evil.” 1 Peter‬ ‭2:16‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
