Your Circle Matters.

I recently reconnected with an old friend. We hadn't talked in years but contacted each other and realized we have gone through similar things in the last few years. This evening I had that friend on my mind, I sent a message letting them know I was praying for them and had been thinking of them. They replied, saying that their whole way home from work they had been thinking about sending a verses to me. I knew in that moment God brought our friendship back together for a reason. See, we tend to say that who we surround ourselves with doesn't matter. It matters, just like in the verses that I based this blog on we are here to uplift each other. A friend that is encouraging and helps you grow closer to God is so important. Today, if you have a friend that is a blessing from God, thank God for sending them to you in the right moment. If you're still praying for that friend, then know in the right moment God will send them to you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬ ‭ ““I will answer you and all your friends, too.” Job‬ ‭35:4‬ ‭ “The heartfelt counsel of a friend is as sweet as perfume and incense.” Proverbs‬ ‭27:9‬ ‭ “Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭4:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
