Don't Want What Others Have.

“May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms‬ ‭20:4‬ 

Desiring what someone else has is irrelevant. We can want the things and blessings others have but we never know what they have gone through or how hard they have prayed for what they have. When we want to be blessed we have to begin praying for it. God will bless us but it is a sin to want what another person has. The Bible teaches us that we should learn to be content in every circumstance and sometimes that means being around people that have more than us. Money and material things do not bring happiness, only God does. Today, if you desire something ask God to bless you, but don't want what others have. Only want what God has for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!”‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:16‬ ‭ “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ “Let us not become conceited, or provoke one another, or be jealous of one another.” Galatians‬ ‭5:26‬ “I promise you what I promised Moses: ‘Wherever you set foot, you will be on land I have given you—” Joshua‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
