God Is In Control.

“When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭

As severe storms and clouds with rotation went across my area today I found myself more calm than usual. I realized what was different was I had prayed. Although anyone would panic over the meteorologist saying there are tornados in your area, I knew in my heart and mind that no matter what happened today God was going to protect me. I had prayed over my animals, home, family and myself. God heard those prayers and I knew that by the peace I felt. I knew the storms were bad, but I knew my God was more than able to do anything, He was in control. Today, know that all the weather, and even the storms of your life are all in God's hands. There will never be a moment that God is not protecting you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭ “I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course.” Jeremiah‬ ‭10:23‬ ‭ “Those who live in the shelter of the Most High will find rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” Psalms‬ ‭91:1‬ ‭ “This I declare about the Lord: He alone is my refuge, my place of safety; he is my God, and I trust him.” Psalms‬ ‭91:2‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
