God's Plan Over Your Plan!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Your plans are so small compared to God's plans. When you learn to let go of what you want and let God give you His plans you will be so much happier. We often have a plan in our minds so much that we force that to be God's will. That isn't how it should be. We cannot see things that God can see, and He knows the things that will make us the happiness. It's like this we each have been in relationships that we thought would last forever, and at the time we thought we were the happiest we would ever be. That is not the truth of it though. We often see only a short amount of the future and soon realize it isn't meant for us. We have to think of every aspect of life that way, right now we may think something would be the best for us but maybe God has something better. Today, ask God to show you His plans for your life, and don't force the outcome. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms‬ ‭20:4‬ ‭ “Plans go wrong for lack of advice; many advisers bring success.” Proverbs‬ ‭15:22‬ ‭ “The Lord detests evil plans, but he delights in pure words.” Proverbs‬ ‭15:26‬ ‭ “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
