No Place I'd Rather Be.

“He went in alone and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord.” 2 Kings‬ ‭4:33‬ ‭

There is no place I would rather be than in the presence of God is the mindset we need to have everyday. We find ourselves so caught up in things in life, and situations. We tend to forget that the real meaning of life is about worshiping God. We put everyone and everything ahead of God as if He shouldn't be our number one priority. The Bible says that we must love God with all of our hearts, all of our souls and all of our minds. That leaves no room for worldly things. Why is it that we choose to put those things ahead of the one person that we should put first? The answer is we want to follow our flesh. We put fleshly and earthly things above Him. We need to keep our minds set on heavenly things. Nothing in the world is worth losing our souls over so why would we out it ahead of Him. Today, stop putting all things above God and put God above everything else. Nothing matters without God and that's something we all know. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:6‬ ‭ “Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”Proverbs‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭ “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.”Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭ “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
