Not Lucky, Just Blessed!

Nothing we have in life is by luck, it's all by being blessed. What we have is all from God. The Bible teaches us that all good and perfect gifts come from above, there is no room for luck. I have tried to learn to say, "I am blessed", instead of "I am so lucky", because nothing I have is by luck. Everything that I have is from God. When God opens a door for us it's so disrespectful for us to calm that luck gave us that, when it's nothing but a blessing from God. How would you feel if you gave a gift to someone and they went around telling everyone that they bought it for themselves? It would be hurtful. I assume that's how God feels when we leave Him out after receiving a blessing. Today, change your vocabulary and tell everyone how blessed you are. Make sure to give God the praise, knowing that all good things come from God alone. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Your towns and your fields will be blessed.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:3‬ ‭ “Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:6‬ ‭ “May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Psalms‬ ‭115:15‬ ‭ “You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”” Luke‬ ‭1:45‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
