Your Thoughts Will Lead You Astray.

 “The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” Proverbs‬ ‭20:24‬ ‭

We tend to align our thoughts and actions with our wants and what we feel is right for us. That is where we can easily go wrong. See the Bible says we can think our actions are right, but only God knows our heart. We can feel a decision, action or thoughts are right but after all they aren't. What is most important is our salvation. We need to seek God before doing anything, our flesh will constantly lead us into sin. We have made mistakes, everyone does, but we are also forgiven. We cannot let our flesh lead the way and expect to end up in God's perfect plan for us. Instead we have to ask God to guide us, we need to make sure our mind is aligned with God's plan. God is the only way we can ever know we are doing something right, our own mind and heart can lead us wrong. Today, make sure to ask God to show you what is right for you, what is right within you, and what you should change. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Fools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to others.” Proverbs‬ ‭12:15‬ ‭ “Then he said to the crowd, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross daily, and follow me.” Luke‬ ‭9:23‬ ‭ “All of us, like sheep, have strayed away. We have left God’s paths to follow our own. Yet the Lord laid on him the sins of us all.” Isaiah‬ ‭53:6‬ ‭ “Your own ears will hear him. Right behind you a voice will say, “This is the way you should go,” whether to the right or to the left.” Isaiah‬ ‭30:21‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
