You're Not Alone!
“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”James 4:8
Have you ever noticed that the closer you get to God the less the people you used to surround yourself with come around? It's just apart of it, as we grow closer to God we become isolated in a way, to where we are no longer stuck in the same places that once tempted us. If we hangout with everyone from our past when we once lives in sin we would end up right back where we were. Although Jesus sat and ate with sinners, He never sinned with them. If we put ourselves in a place to be tempted are we sure we have enough self control? We cannot expect to live in sin and yet grow closer to God. Growing closer to God is realizing things that make us feel convicted and letting those things go. Today, know that if you're feeling alone that it might be a good thing. It could be a sign that you're walking into the new part of your walk with God. You aren't alone when you have God no matter where you are. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” 1 John 1:9 “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23 “Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.”James 1:14 “For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21
