God Never Gives Up On Us!

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”James‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭

God never gives up on us. I was raised in church, growing up people would say that they had back slid, which meant they had gotten out of church and knew they weren't living right. Most of us have had a time in our lives that we back slid. We knew we weren't living right, we were living in sin even and knew we had to find our way back to God. I myself was there at one point and I knew that I need to find God again. I went through a difficult time and found God to be the only source of peace to bring me through it. He never gave up on me. He knew that I would come back. He never stopped speaking to me, instead He sent me people that would be honest and tell me that I needed to grow closer to Him. God will speak to us if we are willing to listen. Today, draw near to God and He will come close to you. Turn away from your sins and get back right. Know that there isn't a moment that God has ever given up on you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Therefore, since God in his mercy has given us this new way, we never give up.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:1‬ ‭ “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭ “Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart.” Colossians‬ ‭4:2‬ ‭ “Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
