Growing In Difficult Places.

“Its roots grow down through a pile of stones; it takes hold on a bed of rocks.” Job‬ ‭8:17‬ ‭

‭I was walking outside tonight and seen a flower growing through the gravel I immediately thought of this verse. We tend to say that we cannot grow in a difficult season, but sometimes the prettiest things come from the hardest places to grow. See there were a million flowers in the grass, but what caught my eye was the flower in the rocks. It grew in a difficult place and that made it even more beautiful. We have things we each go through, but sometimes it makes us better people, better Christians or just more beautiful. Today, know that you've grown or will grow even in the most difficult places. God has the perfect plan for our lives. He can help us become all we need to be despite the enemy trying to pull us down. The Bible says He takes what the enemy meant for evil and turns it for good. He will make you grow anywhere you are. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Even the wilderness and desert will be glad in those days. The wasteland will rejoice and blossom with spring crocuses.”Isaiah‬ ‭35:1‬ ‭ “Yes, there will be an abundance of flowers and singing and joy! The deserts will become as green as the mountains of Lebanon, as lovely as Mount Carmel or the plain of Sharon. There the Lord will display his glory, the splendor of our God.” Isaiah‬ ‭35:2‬ ‭ “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.”‭‭Genesis‬ ‭50:20‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
