Growing Where You Are!
“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians 6:9
A lot of times we aren't where we want to be, but we have to learn to be patient and faithful where we are. Here is how I think about it, I think about how a plant grows where it is placed, once the plant has grown it then has seeds that grow from it. Those seeds then can be placed at different locations and grow there. Where you are doesn't mean you're stuck there, sometimes it's a place for you to grow and then be moved somewhere else to grow at. You're growing where you are but that doesn't mean it's forever. Learn to be patient where you are and trust that God has somewhere better for you someday. The Bible teaches us to be faithful in small things to show God we also can be in large things. Where you are now is either a lesson or a place that you grew and God placed you at for blessings. The best is always yet to come. Let God help you grow. Today, start by being faithful where you are in the growing season and let God show you what it is you're needing to learn. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians 2:7 “The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.” Proverbs 24:5 “For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”James 1:3 “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.” 1 Corinthians 3:6
