Growing Where You Are!

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭

A lot of times we aren't where we want to be, but we have to learn to be patient and faithful where we are. Here is how I think about it, I think about how a plant grows where it is placed, once the plant has grown it then has seeds that grow from it. Those seeds then can be placed at different locations and grow there. Where you are doesn't mean you're stuck there, sometimes it's a place for you to grow and then be moved somewhere else to grow at. You're growing where you are but that doesn't mean it's forever. Learn to be patient where you are and trust that God has somewhere better for you someday. The Bible teaches us to be faithful in small things to show God we also can be in large things. Where you are now is either a lesson or a place that you grew and God placed you at for blessings. The best is always yet to come. Let God help you grow. Today, start by being faithful where you are in the growing season and let God show you what it is you're needing to learn. Here are some verses to reflect on today.      “Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness.” Colossians‬ ‭2:7‬ ‭ “The wise are mightier than the strong, and those with knowledge grow stronger and stronger.” Proverbs‬ ‭24:5‬ ‭ “For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow.”James‬ ‭1:3‬ ‭ “I planted the seed in your hearts, and Apollos watered it, but it was God who made it grow.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
