He Heard You The First Time.

“The eyes of the Lord watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help.” Psalms‬ ‭34:15‬ ‭

I think of a story in the Bible of Abraham and Sarah, they were praying for a child. God spoke to them and told them within one year they would have a child. Sarah laughed as they both were old. In one year they did have the promised child. See the first time they prayed God heard them and answered them unknowingly. Just because you don't see things changing doesn't mean that God hasn't already answered you. See we tend to look at things now, when we pray and don't see God change things immediately we feel forgotten, that He didn't hear our prayers. Have you ever thought about how God could have answered you immediately but you haven't seen the results of the prayer yet? Today, when you pray speak by faith that it has already been answered. That God answered you the moment you spoke the words in prayer and watch how your life changes for the better. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So the Lord must wait for you to come to him so he can show you his love and compassion. For the Lord is a faithful God. Blessed are those who wait for his help.” Isaiah‬ ‭30:18‬ ‭ “Listen to my voice in the morning, Lord. Each morning I bring my requests to you and wait expectantly.” Psalms‬ ‭5:3‬ ‭ “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
