It's Saturday.

“From heaven you sentenced your enemies; the earth trembled and stood silent before you.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭76:8‬ ‭‭

Saturday is here. It was the Sabbath, the leading priests and Pharisees went to see Pilate. They told him that they remembered a deceiver once that said Jesus had said after three days He would raise to life again.They then requested that the tomb be sealed until the third day. That way the disciples wouldn't be able to come and steal Jesus away and tell everyone He was risen. Pilate allowed the guards to go and secure it the best that they could, and they sealed the tomb off and guards stood watch to protect it. Saturday was silent, everyone thought the enemy had won the battle. Jesus was gone, the wicked world had won. They couldn't see any hope in tomorrow because for today nothing seemed to be happening. Today, it might be a Saturday in your life, silent and seems hopeless but just know Sunday is still coming. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Pilate replied, “Take guards and secure it the best you can.”” Matthew‬ ‭27:65‬ ‭ “So the guards accepted the bribe and said what they were told to say. Their story spread widely among the Jews, and they still tell it today.” Matthew‬ ‭28:15‬ ‭ “So they sealed the tomb and posted guards to protect it.”Matthew‬ ‭27:66‬ “O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet, O God.”Psalms‬ ‭83:1‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
