Be Faithful Where You Are Now!

““If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke‬ ‭16:10‬ ‭

I remember growing up when I would be good in town, and act good my parents would get me a toy. A reward for me being good always helped motivate me. This verse is something I think about a lot. We think that the small things that we are doing don't amount to anything because we see no prize ahead, but the truth is the that when we are faithful in what we have that is small God will make it something much larger. God has something huge in store for each of our lives, but we have to be faithful in the small things first. Today, be faithful where you are! God has something bigger in store for you next, but be faithful in this moment. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭ “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” Colossians‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭ “So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.”Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
