Don't Be Betrayed.

“When arguing with your neighbor, don’t betray another person’s secret.” Proverbs‬ ‭25:9‬ ‭

Be caucious who you trust in life. We seem to forget the pain even Jesus went through with betrayal. He was betrayed by Judas but also by Peter who denied Him. We have to be kind and loving to others but we don't have to give them things to hurt us. We tend to all overshare at times, but sometimes it's best to keep a friendly distance from people while remaining kind. It's important that we be kind to all those around us, but it's also important to protect ourselves from being hurt. Today, be kind to everyone but also don't let them have the ability to hurt you. Those you think you can trust aren't always your best friend like you think. Judas and Peter both followed with Jesus everyday for years, yet they still betrayed Him. The greatest friend that will never betray or hurt you will always be Jesus, and He always wants to be there for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Judas Iscariot (who later betrayed him).” Mark‬ ‭3:19‬ ‭ ““Jesus the Nazarene,” they replied. “I Am he,” Jesus said. (Judas, who betrayed him, was standing with them.)” John‬ ‭18:5‬ ‭ ““But here at this table, sitting among us as a friend, is the man who will betray me.” Luke‬ ‭22:21‬ ‭ “They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it.
