Let Go!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭

Walking away from something you want to hold on to sometimes guides us to the thing that we need the most. Have you ever thought that the moment you let go of what you know you're not meant to have but clinging on to will be the moment God opens the perfect door for you? We cannot expect God to give us everything that we are praying for when we are still clinging to what He has showed us is not for us. Letting go isn't always easy, but sometimes it is necessary. Maybe there is a friendship, relationship, job, or situation that God has showed you is not meant for you, let go and have the faith that God will open what is meant for you. it might not happen immediately but with faith God give you something great. Today, trust that what God has for you is even better than what you're letting go of. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭ “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭ “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms‬ ‭20:4‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
