The Sign Was Enough!
“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” Hebrews 6:18
I read something tonight that really spoke to me. It said that you prayed, God answered, but now that you're second guessing what you once felt for sure about. Not because you think that God changed His mind, but because fear started to whisper louder than your faith. You don't need another sign. You need to learn to start trusting in what He already made clear. I know in my life I have many times asked God over again for a sign after He showed me one, I tend to want another sign to be sure that the first one was something I understood. I have come to realize that the Bible says that God never changes His mind, that means when God tells you something it never changes. The Bible also says that God cannot lie, so when He tells you something you can write it in permeant ink, it will never change. Today, when God gives you a sign don't let the doubt creep in. Hang on to what God shows you! The first sign was enough for you! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.” Hebrews 6:17 “God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” Numbers 23:19 ““‘And this is the sign from the Lord to prove that he will do as he promised:” Isaiah 38:7 “God answered, “I will be with you. And this is your sign that I am the one who has sent you: When you have brought the people out of Egypt, you will worship God at this very mountain.””Exodus 3:12
