Who You Marry Matters.

“This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”Genesis‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭

Today in church the Pastor preached on we wouldn't have had a Judah if it wasn't for Joesph the dreamer, and we wouldn't have had the same lineage of Jesus had it not been for them. It made me think on how many times I have heard people say that God doesn't have just one person designed for us to marry. I highly disagree. The lineage of my life will not ever be someone as significant as Jesus, but who I choose to marry and create a family with could become someone like Judah or Joesph. I think of how Esther was called to save the Jews, she most defiantly didn't want to go forward to the king but her genetics and the way she was raised then she wouldn't have had respect for her elder, Mordecai, to do as he asked. Who you choose to marry, does matter. I got advice from someone one time that told me it is better to wait than marry wrong. Today, be careful who you are choosing to spend your life with. Even if it's who you think you want, it needs to be who God has for you! It does matter with who you choose. God has someone perfect designed for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭ “But if he has decided firmly not to marry and there is no urgency and he can control his passion, he does well not to marry.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:37‬ ‭ “So again I say, each man must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:33‬ ‭ “For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭
