Wisdom For The Future!
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms 37:4
We all have a picture in our minds of how we want our lives to turn out. Whether it be a job, house, relationship, building a family, a dream car, or traveling somewhere we have things that we hope for. We all have something that we desire deep in our hearts, even when no one else can see it. We spend most days and nights praying for the opportunity to accomplish these things even if we often don't mention them to anyone else. The desires in our hearts can become our reality if we will let God have His way in our lives. The desire might not turn out just like we thought, but we can count on it being the best thing for us that will be better than we imagined for ourselves. I have a dream in my heart that I pray over very often, something God showed me for my future. I have not seen the progress of that desire coming to pass, but I know there will come a time that it does. God never lets us hold onto a hold that will never come. I truly believe that God will correct us when our desires are wrong. He is like a Father to us, and a Father never wants to see His children hurt. If God knows something isn't right for us He gives us the knowledge of it not being. He will guide us if we are willing to listen to Him. Today, no matter what area of your life you have a picture in your mind of ask God to truly show you is this desire from Him and something that will benefit your walk with God and your life. He will show you the wisdom to understand anything if you will ask it of Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.” 1 John 5:14 “You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father.” John 14:13 “But even now I know that God will give you whatever you ask.”” John 11:22 “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
