Don't Sin With Them.

“or you will learn to be like them and endanger your soul.” Proverbs‬ ‭22:25‬ ‭

Relationships and friendships should draw you closer to God not closer to sin. Who you're surrounding yourself with matters. I get so irritated when someone says, "But Jesus ate with the sinners." Yes, He did. There is a part to of that though, He did not sin with them. Can you truthfully say that if you're in a room where everyone is gossiping that you won't do so? If you're in the room and everyone is doing something you know is not right will you give in just to fit in? Being around those who sin in a public setting is one thing, we often cannot avoid that. Being in private with someone you know is going to lead you closer to sin is a choice. You have to be careful who you're letting in, guarding your soul is so important. You will not answer for anyone else's mistakes, only your own. You have to choose good people that are on the right path so that you will not be lead to sin with them. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t be fooled by those who say such things, for “bad company corrupts good character.”” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭15:33‬ ‭ “Dear friends, never take revenge. Leave that to the righteous anger of God. For the Scriptures say, “I will take revenge; I will pay them back,” says the Lord.” Romans‬ ‭12:19‬ ‭ “The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭ “Don’t befriend angry people or associate with hot-tempered people,” Proverbs‬ ‭22:24‬ ‭
