Focus On What You Can Do Now!

Imagine the change we could make in the world if instead of questioning what God is doing next we worked with all of ourselves where we are! God has amazing plans for our futures but we need to start with the present time. We should work hard as we can at whatever we do right now knowing that what is next will come when we need it to. I have a hard time focusing on things currently happening at times, because I am a daydreamer. I constantly am excited for what's next. Recently I have started focusing on right now, what I can do to help others where I am. It's like I felt a weight lifted off of me knowing I am making a change now. Today, help others where you are. Don't be so focused on what is next that you won't allow God to use you for His Kingdom where you are now. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today.” Matthew‬ ‭6:34‬ ‭ “If you can help your neighbor now, don’t say, “Come back tomorrow, and then I’ll help you.”” Proverbs‬ ‭3:28‬ ‭ “Even while we were with you, we gave you this command: “Those unwilling to work will not get to eat.”” ‭‭2 Thessalonians‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭ “Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” Colossians‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
