Power In The Tongue.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭

If words have power imagine how much power is in a prayer. The words you speak matter. When you speak doubt in your life you are showing God that you doubt what He is doing for you. When you speak joy, hope, peace and strength you are speaking by the faith of God that He will do what you're needing. You need to speak by faith and not by doubt. Today, catch yourself from being doubtful with your words. Replace those words with faith. God loves when we speak hope into our lives. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you.”” Matthew‬ ‭12:37‬  ‭ “In the same way, the tongue is a small thing that makes grand speeches. But a tiny spark can set a great forest on fire.” James‬ ‭3:5‬ ‭ “And so blessing and cursing come pouring out of the same mouth. Surely, my brothers and sisters, this is not right!” ‭‭James‬ ‭3:10‬ ‭ “Too much talk leads to sin. Be sensible and keep your mouth shut.”Proverbs‬ ‭10:19‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
