The Mountain Top Will Come!

“God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?” Numbers‬ ‭23:19‬ ‭

I was facing trials in my life and felt like God had maybe forgotten or taken the promise back that He has for me. I was feeling so discouraged in the midst of my valley. I seen a rainbow after a storm came through, it was so beautiful I could see the whole thing. I was reminded that His promises never change. When God makes a promise He keeps it forever. He never will change His mind. If you're willing to walk through the door then God will open it. God spoke to me and said "This is just a valley on the way to the mountain top I have for you." That seems small to most but it meant a lot to me in the midst of the battle I was in. God's plans are always good even when we cannot yet see it. Today, trust God, know that His promises are forever and will never fail. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Is his unfailing love gone forever? Have his promises permanently failed?” Psalms‬ ‭77:8‬ ‭ “He was fully convinced that God is able to do whatever he promises.” Romans‬ ‭4:21‬ ‭ “And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires.” 2 Peter‬ ‭1:4‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
