You Can Be Used For Good!

“But now your kingdom must end, for the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart. The Lord has already appointed him to be the leader of his people, because you have not kept the Lord’s command.”” 1 Samuel‬ ‭13:14‬ ‭

David was a man after God's own heart. He made mistakes, he sinned, he was imperfect. He was also a shepherd, musician, warrior, a king, author of many Psalms, Father to Solomon, defeated Goliath and in the lineage of Jesus. He was a man of many different accomplishments. He also committed adultery and murder. He was imperfect but that didn't change the fact that He was called by God. God knew you'd fall short, and He knew you'd be imperfect. That doesn't change the fact God has called you for something amazing. Your calling is important. You can accomplish a lot of things. Today, don't think that your calling is gone because you've fell short and sinned. God knew each of us would, that is why He sent Jesus. Just don't continue to sin knowing it is wrong, change your ways and let God use you for His kingdom. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But God removed Saul and replaced him with David, a man about whom God said, ‘I have found David son of Jesse, a man after my own heart. He will do everything I want him to do.’” Acts of the Apostles‬ ‭13:22 ““For many are called, but few are chosen.”” Matthew‬ ‭22:14‬ ‭‬ ‭ “God has called us to live holy lives, not impure lives.” ‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
