God Knows Your Prayers!

“You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭139:4‬ ‭

I was thinking about something in my life. I was thinking I should ask for a sign later in prayer, it was a late night thought and I didn't remember it that night in my nightly prayers. The next day God sent me two signs of exactly what I would have prayed about. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit understands our thoughts as prayers. He knows the needs of our life before we even ask. That is one of the things that makes our relationship with God so great. We never have to explain what we mean, He already knows. If you're praying for something God understands your intentions even before you prayed about it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” ‭‭John‬ ‭15:7‬ “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭ “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.” Psalms‬ ‭139:23‬ ‭ ““When you pray, don’t babble on and on as the Gentiles do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again.” Matthew‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
