Love Like Jesus!

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” Romans‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭‭

You can't just talk about Jesus you have to love like Him too. Everyday I pray to love like Jesus. Talking about Jesus is one thing but your actions need to match what you're speaking. Loving people who are difficult is hard, draining and sometimes something. Those who hurt you, betray you, talk bad about you, especially those who seem hard to love are the exact ones we are called to love the most. It's easy to love our friends, family and those we care for. To really love like Jesus does is to love the ones that most don't take the time to even notice. Today, love those that often go unnoticed. Love ever just like Jesus would. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Most High, for he is kind to those who are unthankful and wicked.” Luke‬ ‭6:35‬ ‭ “Dear children, let’s not merely say that we love each other; let us show the truth by our actions.” 1 John‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭ “Love each other with genuine affection, and take delight in honoring each other.” Romans‬ ‭12:10‬ ‭ “Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others.”Colossians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also.
