Walking By Faith.
“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews 11:1
The sermon at church today spoke so clearly to me. My pastor preached on how we cannot always see the promise of God, sometimes we are wandering around but we aren't lost. We wander looking for what God has for us but we don't know what that is yet. He told about how Abraham wandered looking for the promise, Joesph was taken away from his family, put into prison and then later found the promise that being second in command to Pharaoh. He also talked about David, he wandered being a shepherd but later was king although he was anointed as a child. See we often wander around following God blindly without knowing what He has for us yet. We aren't lost, we just haven't gotten to the promise God has for us yet. God doesn't tell us every detail, and that is okay. We don't need every detail to follow Him. Today, just because you're wandering around following God doesn't mean the promise has been lost, it will still come. You just have to walk by faith and not by sight. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen.”Hebrews 11:3 “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebrews 11:6 “And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” Romans 8:28 ““You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”” Matthew 17:20
