Stay Quiet, Let God Speak!

“Don’t sin by letting anger control you. Think about it overnight and remain silent. Interlude” Psalms‬ ‭4:4‬  ‭Sometimes staying silent is the best thing we can do. When we stay quiet around others we are letting God speak instead. It's easy to speak out with anger and frustration, what is more difficult is staying quiet and letting God take care of what you can't. You don't always have to speak with your anger, you can choose to let God talk for you. Not everything in life needs to be answered, sometimes you just need to sit back and let God work in your life and that be enough of an answer. Today, let God speak. Stay silent. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “A truly wise person uses few words; a person with understanding is even-tempered.” Proverbs‬ ‭17:27‬ ‭ “But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come f...

Ask For God’s Peace!

“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:7‬ ‭ I had a moment today where I was really stressed out, I just felt like I had to sit down to think. In that moment I found myself praying for His peace that passes all of our understanding. Without thinking the first thing I done was pray. I was so proud of myself. I am guilty myself of turning to my phone when I am stressed and need my mind off circumstances. What we should do is ask the peacemaker for peace. See His peace is a peace that we cannot find anywhere else, and when He gives it to us it isn't something that we can explain. It's the same peace Jesus had on the boat when the storm was coming, yet He took a nap. Situations no longer have control, we have peace instead. His peace isn't something that can be explained but rather felt and never understood how it works. Today, ask God for peace in ...

Pray For Everyone!

“But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!” Matthew‬ ‭5:44‬ ‭ It's easy to pray for those who are good to you, what is difficult is to pray for someone who mistreats you. Being a good person bins praying for the people you care about, it's also praying for the stranger that was rude to you, praying for the person who hurt your feelings, praying for the ones who talked bad about you. It's praying for those who are difficult knowing that is what God has called us to do. It's praying for the difficult ones not the ones that are always good to us. Don't get me wrong, we need to pray for those who love, care and are good to us. We also need to pray for those who aren't,  Today, pray for everyone! Being kind to others matters, and praying even when they don't know you are matters even more. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.” Luke‬ ‭6:28‬ ‭ “Bless those who persecute you. Don’t c...

Don't Stress Over It!

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” Esther‬ ‭4:14‬ ‭  Whatever is in your mind that is causing you to worry at this exact moment know that God has already taken care of it. There is no need to sit and worry over something that God handled long before you even thought about it. He knew that it would come to this, He also knew He would create a way out for you. I think of the story of Esther, before Esther knew she would be chosen to be a queen God had prepared Her. Before the threat of the Jews God placed Esther in the Palace. He knew that your situations would come to this and He has created a way out for you. Today, don't worry instead sit back and trust God fully! Here are some verses to reflect on today.  “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not fo...

You Are Blessed, Act Like It!

“Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:6‬ ‭ You've gotta walk, talk, move, and act like you're blessed. God has blessed us each in so many ways some different than others. At the end of the day we should shout the goodness of God to everyone. We should act like we are blessed and show everyone what God has done for us. You need to be open about your faith you never know the impact on someone else you can make just be being grateful for what God has done for you. Today, walk, talk, move and act like you are blessed everywhere you go. Knowing that someone could see how you are and be open to others about it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “You are blessed because you believed that the Lord would do what he said.”” Luke‬ ‭1:45‬ ‭ ““But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭17:7‬ ‭ “Then Jesus told him, “You believe because you have seen me. Blessed are those who belie...

God's Approval Only Matters.

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬  ‭Peoples approval amounts to nothing in this world, but God's approval amounts to everything. God doesn't care what anyone has to say about you. He doesn't ask for a resume, what anyone else thinks of you, or what they have said about you. Instead He cares about what you think of Him, and what He thinks about you. No one else in the world can change God's mind about you. One of the greatest things about God is He sees everything, even what we don't see about ourselves. We don't have to worry about what anyone says, we have to worry about what God says. Today, let go of the approval of others, and let God be the only approval that matters. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But, of course, there must be divisions among you so that you who have God’s approval will be recognized!” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭11:19...

God Has Equipped You!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ God has equipped you for your calling even before you knew what it was. He knew what you were called to do long ago. His plans or your life are not something He spontaneously came up with, it's something that He has been preparing you for all along. We tend to fear when God opens a door for us that we won't be smart, strong or good enough to do what we are being called to do. The reality is long before God opened the door He began preparing us for it. Today, whatever door God is opening for you, or calling He has opened for you know that you're good enough for it. God prepared you for it already. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” ‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ “may he equip you with all you need for doing his will. May he produce in you, through the power of Je...

God Understands Your Thoughts.

“Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!” Matthew‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭ Have you ever felt like you needed a sign and God sent it at the perfect time? I love when I don't even have time to ask for a sign but I know in my Spirit I need one, so God sends it before I can even ask. It reminds me that He understands us. I remember a time in my life where I was praying about something and God told me that He knew my thoughts, He counted them as prayers. A few weeks back I was praying over a situation and I told myself I was going to pray for a sign that night, I forgot to in my nightly prayers but God gave me not one sign but two the next day. Although I never prayed it technically God understood what I needed without me asking. Today, if you have something you're thinking about know God understands your thoughts. He knows what we will ask for before we even ask Him. Your sign will come, and you will understand what God is trying to speak to you ab...

Be Careful What You Think!

“Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand.” Colossians‬ ‭3:1‬ ‭ One sentence from our sermon at church today really stood out to me, he said, "Instead of what would Jesus do, what would Jesus think" Why is it in the world today people say well it was only a thought at least there were no actions behind it. The Bible says "Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on realities of heaven." When we think things in our minds that only us and God knows about it's just as bad as taking action to the thoughts. See when you allow something to come into your mind it will soon be in control of you. I remember I loved Veggie Tales as a kid, there was this one movie where Larry Boy lied, it became a huge web of lies over a so called fib. That's how sin works, it might start small in our eyes. Only a little thought, maybe even judgi...

Being Present Matters!

“But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live, I will live. Your people will be my people, and your God will be my God.” ‭‭Ruth‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭ I love the story of Ruth. I seen a quote about her today and it made me think about her life. She was faithful to her mother-in-law she stuck by her and moved with her when her mother-in-law gave her a chance to go her own way. She told her, "Wherever you go I will go." We need to be faithful to the people that we care about in the same way. We all have problems, issues and are busy but we can choose to still be present and a listening ear for those who need it. Ruth was going through something yet she was still there for her mother-in-law. She chose to stick by her side even when she didn't have to. Today, choose to be around those who need you even when your own life is busy. They need you the same way you need them at times. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Share ...

His Plans Are Better!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Let God create the life that you dream of for you, what God has for you is so much bigger and better than what you can ever even imagine. His plans are so good. We have to learn to not try and take things into your own hands and create the dreams you think that you want. Whatever God has for you is so much better than you could ever do for yourself. You cannot even begin to do something great as what He has for you. His plans will always be better than yours. Today, let go of the plans you have for yourself and let God's plans be the story for your life. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.”Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭ “May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms‬ ‭20:4‬ ‭ “But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever; his intentions can never b...

We Need The Stars Too!

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ I was standing outside tonight looking up at the stars, we are getting a lot of rain tomorrow and I was think about how much I love the rain. It came to me that it can't always rain or we'd never see the stars. As much as I love the sound, the smell and to watch the rain I do love the stars and love looking up at them. We can't always have what we want, because sometimes God is trying to give us something just as beautiful. We have to learn to let go sometimes of what we think we need for God to show us something as equally as great for us. Today, trust that God will give you what you need in the right timing. Just as the world needs rain, it sometimes need starry nights. God will give us what we need in each season! Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteousl...

Love Like Jesus!

“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” Romans‬ ‭12:9‬ ‭‭ You can't just talk about Jesus you have to love like Him too. Everyday I pray to love like Jesus. Talking about Jesus is one thing but your actions need to match what you're speaking. Loving people who are difficult is hard, draining and sometimes something. Those who hurt you, betray you, talk bad about you, especially those who seem hard to love are the exact ones we are called to love the most. It's easy to love our friends, family and those we care for. To really love like Jesus does is to love the ones that most don't take the time to even notice. Today, love those that often go unnoticed. Love ever just like Jesus would. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your reward from heaven will be very great, and you will truly be acting as children of the Mos...

Speak Positive!

“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.” Ephesians‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭ ‭What you speak matters. When we speak doubt, anger, and sadness we show that we don't have faith. When we speak peace, joy, hope, and happiness we show that we have faith. See what you speak is what you tend to deep down believe. When we chose to speak positivity then we choose to speak by faith. What God wants from us is to show Him by our words and actions that we believe in Him and what He is doing for us. Today, speak things by faith. Choose to speak with positivity. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ “And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on...

Walking By Faith.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬  ‭The sermon at church today spoke so clearly to me. My pastor preached on how we cannot always see the promise of God, sometimes we are wandering around but we aren't lost. We wander looking for what God has for us but we don't know what that is yet. He told about how Abraham wandered looking for the promise, Joesph was taken away from his family, put into prison and then later found the promise that being second in command to Pharaoh. He also talked about David, he wandered being a shepherd but later was king although he was anointed as a child. See we often wander around following God blindly without knowing what He has for us yet. We aren't lost, we just haven't gotten to the promise God has for us yet. God doesn't tell us every detail, and that is okay. We don't need every detail to follow Him. Today, just because you're wandering around following ...

See It Clearly!

“But my covenant will be confirmed with Isaac, who will be born to you and Sarah about this time next year.””Genesis‬ ‭17:21‬ ‭ In mine and my husband's Bible study tonight we read in Genesis. We read about how God spoke to Abraham at ninety-nine and told him he would become a father to a son by that time next year. See Abraham in his human sign could not see that happen, but God knew that it would. We all know the story continues to tell that it was true in the next year God blessed him with Issac. See we tend to let our human sight cloud our faith sight. In our human eyes often times things seem so impossible, but in our faith sight we know it is more than possible for God to do anything we need. If God spoke a promise over your life don't let the human view change your faith view. In the next year that promise from God could easily come to pass. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see....

Speak Faith While You Wait!

“I am counting on the Lord; yes, I am counting on him. I have put my hope in his word.” Psalms‬ ‭130:5‬ ‭ We all have hopes and dreams for something bigger, something we are waiting for patiently that we know God will do for us. In the waiting we prove our faith to God. We also prove that we can be faithful when we cannot see the promise yet. I remember a time in my life where I dreamed of the life I am currently living, I would pray everyday for it. I would wait patiently but speak that it was coming. I would feel the Holy Ghost when I would think of it and knew it would someday come. It did, but there were a lot of trials in-between there and now. There were times I spoke faith until I could feel it. Today, speak by faith even when you cannot feel it coming, God has a beautiful plan for your life and the life you're dreaming of will come. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭...

Choose The Right Path!

“Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away.” James‬ ‭1:14‬  ‭Stop trying to be the same person that you were before you found God. When you truly find a relationship with God you begin to change. The worldly desires slowly fade as you begin to reading the Bible and start finding a true relationship with God. You learn to let go of the things that once had a hold on you leading you further into sin, whether it be habits, friends or just temptations. My mom told me a quote as a kid that stuck with me all through my life, she told me "Sin will take you further than you want to go." See when you give sin an inch it takes a mile, and then ten miles and doesn't stop until you're at rock bottom. You can make a choice to let God lead you or let sin lead you. There is a destination for both, following God leads you to one eternity to Heaven, sin leads you to an eternity of hell. Today, make your choice, and choose right. What you choose matters. H...

The Acts Of Faith Work.

““Grab it,” Elisha said. And the man reached out and grabbed it.” 2 Kings‬ ‭6:7‬ ‭ We recently had two peacocks hatch out of our incubator. We was so excited. About 4 to 5 days passed, I went outside late one night to water them and I didn't shut the pen good. One got out and we couldn't find it. We done what second Kings taught about. The verses tell about how one day the group of prophets and Elisha went to the Jordan River, where they were going to build a new place for them to meet at. When they arrived they began to cut down the trees. The ax head fell into the River, and one of them said, oh sir, it was a borrowed ax. Elisha asked where did it fall, they showed him. Elisha cut a stick and threw it in the water at that spot, then the ax head floated to the surface, Elisha told them to grab it and the man reached out and did so. The stick didn't save it. The act of faith that God would bring it back did. I had prayed. He was gone for 32 hours. I assumed there was no wa...

God Is Working On You!

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ I remember this song we used to sing in Church when I was a kid, it said that God is still working on us. It reminds me that everyday God is still working on me, the song then goes on to say to make me what I ought to be. See God doesn't just keep working on us for no reason, He continues working on us to help us become what we need to be. When we start growing closer to God we notice that we start to feel the need to change things, even small things about us. I recently have felt a need to listen to more Christian music, sometimes when we grow closer to God we notice small things change about us. Today, as you grow closer to God notice the small pulls you feel to do something, it's usually something that God wants you to change to help better yo...

You Will See How You Was Prepared.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ You will eventually look back at your life and see that everything you have accomplished and been trained for is all for a bigger picture. I know I have talked about this often but it amazes me how God works things out truly for our good. I struggled in school, grammar to be exact. I had to have a tutor and it was truly humiliating in that time. I now use what I learned in that class daily to write blogs. What I thought I was being punished to do, was training for a much bigger purpose. God knew that I would be called to write blogs, that I would also need the knowledge to do so. Think about so many people in the Bible that God prepared them for something when they had no idea they were being prepared. Joesph was called to save his family from a famine. Moses who was called the deliver the Israelites from Egypt was prepared through b...

Be More Like Jesus!

“Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.” 1 John‬ ‭2:6 ‬ ‭If you want to be the kind of person other's see Jesus through then you have to act like Him speak like Him and be like Him. You cannot act like the world and expect others to see Jesus in you. Who we are is what we reflect to others. If you're constantly complaining people will think you're miserable, if you're cheerful always making other's smile people will see you as someone who is happy. We think that the way we act doesn't matter, but in reality it matters a lot. We are made to be the reflect of Jesus love, kindness, and the faith a Christian should have. Today, read your Bible and find things in your daily life that you can change to be more like Jesus. We all have things we can do better on to be more like Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.” Ephesians‬ ‭5:9‬ ‭ “I have given you an exa...

God Knows Your Prayers!

“You know what I am going to say even before I say it, Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭139:4‬ ‭ I was thinking about something in my life. I was thinking I should ask for a sign later in prayer, it was a late night thought and I didn't remember it that night in my nightly prayers. The next day God sent me two signs of exactly what I would have prayed about. The Bible says that the Holy Spirit understands our thoughts as prayers. He knows the needs of our life before we even ask. That is one of the things that makes our relationship with God so great. We never have to explain what we mean, He already knows. If you're praying for something God understands your intentions even before you prayed about it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But if you remain in me and my words remain in you, you may ask for anything you want, and it will be granted!” ‭‭John‬ ‭15:7‬ “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us wh...

Don't Be Distracted.

“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” Hebrews‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ Don't quit you are closer than you think to the promise. When we get so close to the promise God has for us the enemy will try to cloud our vision with fear, doubt, brokenness, anger and any emotion or situation he can use to distract you from the promise. The enemy wants you to lose focus of what is next so that your faith will fade. The best thing we can do in all situations is stay focused on the fact that God's promise is going to arrive. The enemy might throw distractions but you can choose to focus on God instead. Today, don't let the distractions cloud what is about to happen for you. God's promise is going to be bigger and better than you could have ever imagined. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “B...

Stay Out Of The Way!

“Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter‬ ‭5:7‬ ‭ You need the rest and God can do His best. We tend to get in the way of God's plans for our lives at times, and honestly it isn't always intentional. We as humans become impatient quickly and don't mean to but it makes us create more problems by trying to take things into our own hands. If we could teach ourselves to stay calm in the storms of life and know that God is going to do all that we need, then we would see He doesn't always need help to do what we are asking. There are times in our lives where God expects us to do our parts, but there are also times where we tend to try and make things happen and only get in the way. Today, don't be in the way. Just let God do what He needs to do and if He is expecting you to do something then you will know it because the opportunities will come to you. Here are some verses to reflect on today “God will make this happen, for he who calls you...
