His Love Remains.

“No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans‬ ‭8:39‬ ‭ Even though the seasons change, His love will remain. We learn love from a very young age, our family and friends show us love. As we grow older and experience relationships and friendships that fail. Our minds then tell us that when we fail we become unloveable. We then grow a new perception of love, thinking that God will not love us if we fail. The Bible teaches us something completely different though. The Bible says that nothing can ever separate us from His love. That shows me that although I fail God, I disappoint Him and sometimes I'm not the best version of myself. He loves me all the same. He doesn't look at my failures, instead, He sees them and replaces them with His grace. His mercy remains, and so does His love. Today, when you feel like you're failing in life and beg...

Money Can't Buy It All.

““No one can serve two masters. For you will hate one and love the other; you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and be enslaved to money.” Matthew‬ ‭6:24‬ ‭ You cannot buy happiness. I understand that we all need things, bills to pay, and things we buy, but money should not control our lives. We have to work for what we have, but when we start letting money lead we realize that we drift from God. The Bible teaches us that we cannot serve God and serve money, we can only have one master. God will help us with the opportunity to work for things we need, but we shouldn't serve money. Money cannot make us happy. Being blessed doesn't mean you're rich, have the biggest house, or the nicest car. Being blessed is rich in joy, peace, hope, strength, and faith. Being rich in the things God provides will never amount to any kind of money you could have. Today, know that when you're blessed by God you're more rich than all the money on this ear...

The Path To Follow.

“Those who follow the right path fear the Lord; those who take the wrong path despise him.” Proverbs‬ ‭14:2‬ ‭ Is your life being led by His word or the world? We have to make sure that we choose to be led by God and not by what the world tells us to live by. God's standards for us are the complete opposite of the world's. When the world leads us we end up in sadness, loneliness, and sin. When the Word will lead us to joy, hope, faith, contentment, and peace. We have a choice in life, God has given us free will. We can choose the path that leads to all the good things, that is following a Godly path. We also have the same choice that we can choose wrong and choose the path that leads us the wrong way. My mom once told me that sin will take you further than you want to go. So be certain before you choose to follow a path that is the right one for you. Today, choose to follow the path that the Word of God teaches us about. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Mark out a str...

Your Prayer Is Heard.

“And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don’t know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words.” Romans‬ ‭8:26‬ ‭ God opens doors that we have yet to knock on. I've learned that sometimes God answers a prayer that I forgot to pray. I don't remember exactly what I was praying for, but I remember having a thought one time. I never made it to a prayer, just a thought. Before I could find time to go somewhere alone and truly pray, I realized that prayer had already been answered. I truly believe that sometimes God answers us before we can ask Him. God knows our needs, wants, and things we are searching for. We have to remember that God created us, He knows exactly how we think. He knows everything. We can think of a prayer and God understands it. Your tears, thoughts, and prayers are all heard the same by God. Today, know that whatever you're praying for God will answer. Even when you ca...

God Is Not Done With You.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ God is not done with you. God has a huge plan for your life, you have no reason to doubt that God's plan is great. This verse always brings me hope, in times when I thought my plans were great, God had even better plans. Sometimes our plans fall through, but that means even better plans are ahead. Nothing in life that doesn't go to plan goes wasted. There is something better ahead. When your plan falls through know that it means that God's plan is falling into place. Before we were born God began making plans for our lives. Every little detail is apart of a bigger plan than we can see. Everything will eventually work together for the best. Today, trust God's plan. When what you thought you wanted falls through know that God's plan will be better than what you wanted. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “May ...

A Miracle Is Happening!

“Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand his decisions and his ways!” Romans‬ ‭11:33‬ ‭ As I was sitting outside today the dark clouds rolled in, no large storm was supposed to hit here. It started to sprinkle rain, the wind began to blow and before I knew it the storm had hit. The wind blew hard and the rain started to pour. There was no sign of it coming, no way I could have prepared. That is how life is. When God chooses to give you a gift or do a miracle for you, He never warns you. I was going through a battle, I had been praying for a miracle. I remember one Sunday morning I was doing my makeup and listening to worship music, the words spoke to me in a new way they had never done before. I got up and began to shout for praises. I did not feel the miracle happen inside of me, I didn't feel a change. I got up the next day feeling the same, the next day the miracle happened. Just because you do not see the miracle happen...

Free In Jesus!

““I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”” Jeremiah‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ We are all made the same, created by the same God in the same amount of time, and each for a purpose. We are here by the grace of God to do good works for Him. God formed us each in our mother's womb for a purpose. When the enemy tells you lies that you're not worth it, you're not good enough, you're a burden or more lies remind him of the truth, that you are here for a purpose, you are loved by the highest God and you are forgiven. No lie could ever be told to you that God cannot heal and show you the truth. We can search God's word to find the truth that God loves us, cares for us, and will never leave us. Today, search the Word of God when you hear the enemy come to you with those lies. You are free in Jesus' name. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “God saved you by his grace when you believed...

It's Harvest Season.

“So let’s not get tired of doing what is good. At just the right time we will reap a harvest of blessing if we don’t give up.” Galatians‬ ‭6:9‬ ‭ Today was the first day of fall. It reminded me of this verse. I live in the South, and the summer is almost unbearable. It gets up to 115 Fahrenheit. It gets so hot, and it's also very humid. I dream of the fall and winter months all summer long, waiting for the weather to become cool and cozy again. If I began to give up on the cool weather to come I would be so disappointed that I gave up too soon. Time goes by slowly when we are waiting, but fast when we enjoy the ride. You have to continue having the faith, you will be thankful you did not give up. The greatest moments are ahead of you, not behind you. God has amazing things in store for you. Today, don't grow tired waiting for the harvest, the day will come when you reap more than you sowed. God will bless you for your patience. The harvest season is here, and it is time to harv...

Dream Big!

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭ Start to expect the best, because that is exactly what God wants to give you. We all start from an early age of dreaming of the most amazing outcomes for our lives, we often find ourselves still as adults having those same big dreams. I was taught growing up that I could become anything I dreamed of being, and that is so. I might not have the job, house, or car I dreamed of. I did end up with so much better. I got the perfect home for me, the perfect husband for me, the perfect car for me, and the perfect family for me. Just because things did not go as I had dreamed doesn't mean I got all I had wanted. I got them in other ways, I found a home where it is peaceful for me, a husband that loves me, a family that loves and supports me, and a car that runs well and gets me to where I need to go. So no things didn't go as I had dreamed, they went the way God knew I needed. Just because you're...

Find Your Faith!

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭ But do you have faith? It's easy for us to say we have faith that our circumstances will change, God will answer our prayers and our wildest dreams will come true, but do we deep down believe and have true faith? I have come to the conclusion when I tell myself that I have faith I also need to check myself, I need to see if my actions are showing God that I have that faith, and do my words show that? If you're saying you have faith without checking yourself are you fooling yourself? Faith is sometimes hard to gain, we first have to have hope for good things in our future then we have to trust God to handle the details of getting there. The trust in the unknown is the faith. Trusting God fully is faith that He will do it. If you have faith in the impossible show God that you do by your actions of living every day knowing He has taken care of all the details. Today, find f...

Pray At All Times.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Prayer is a wireless call to God. We have a way that we can constantly talk to God, anywhere and at any time. We never have to worry about paying a phone bill, losing service, or losing your phone battery. It's always available and never runs out. We can talk to God all the time. I find myself having a conversation with God out loud a lot of times when I am alone. It's so nice knowing I have a friend who is always there to listen and always picks up. Having friends around us is a blessing, but we must remind ourselves that we can call to God anytime. He wants us to, He loves hearing from us. Today, spend extra time in prayer knowing that God loves to hear from you. He enjoys hearing about your day, life, and feelings. Although He knows, and sees all we should make an effort because prayer is a bridge to growing close to God. Pray at all t...

Show Love.

“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4‬ ‭ Are you setting the example of God's love to those around you? We always want to be shown love and kindness from others but are we doing that in return, or better yet first? When we meet someone are we leaving a compassionate, loving, Christian impression? The Bible tells us to love those who hurt us, and that tells us that God wants us to love even when it is difficult. The people who are sometimes hard to love secretly carry baggage. They face battles alone and just need someone to depend on. When you're being kind, loving, and compassionate towards someone even if they might be difficult you're setting the best example for Jesus. Today, when it's hard to be kind to someone choose to be kind anyway, show them the kind of love that you want. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Love your enemies! Do good to them. Lend to them without expecting to be repaid. Then your rew...

Your Time Will Come.

“But you must not forget this one thing, dear friends: A day is like a thousand years to the Lord, and a thousand years is like a day.” ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭ Today marks my thousandth blog. One thousand days of consistency, though every good day and bad day, every happy moment and sad, I have stuck to it and posted. I know that might not seem like a lot to most but it is to me. As I pondered on the 1,000 number the verse this is based on came to me. We often get in such a hurry to accomplish things in life, and we question why God isn't in a hurry. God doesn't use the concept of time, He doesn't need to. God was here before time was even created. Time is based on the sun rising and setting, the sun and moon were created by God therefore He was here before the concept of time. We cannot be in a rush when God is in control, God doesn't work on our timetable and He doesn't need to. God knows how to handle things on His own timing. Today, stop stressing and rushing things ...

God's Answer!

“And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭ If you've asked God for something, you can count on it being answered. There is a fine print to that however, the Bible tells us that if it is His will, then He will answer it. That goes to tell us that either God will answer the prayer just like we asked, or He will give us something better. You've got to stop trying to force God to answer a prayer the way you want it answered, anytime God answers it a different way is a blessing. It's like this: someone is driving a car and giving directions of the road ahead, then there is also a helicopter flying above, giving directions of the road ahead. With common sense, you'd listen to the helicopter. It can see much further. Why would you trust your own way instead of God's way? Today, think long and hard about how God can see so much further than you can, and He also knows so much better than yo...

Don't Judge!

““Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.”Matthew‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭ Why are we so quick to judge someone else's mistakes while we have yet to fix our own? We are so quick to pick out people's flaws, downfalls, and mistakes. The thing we have to realize is we will not answer for what they are doing, instead, we will answer what we, ourselves, are doing. The Bible tells us to stop looking at the speck in other's eyes and get the plank out of our own. We cannot sit and judge someone when we are no better. Every person on this earth has fallen short of God's standards, but that is where His forgiveness comes in. Jesus came down to give us that forgiveness, we are free through Him. Today, stop focusing on what others are doing wrong and fic what you're doing wrong. Leave the judgment up to Jesus, it's not your place to judge anyone. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard ...

The Right People.

“As iron sharpens iron, so a friend sharpens a friend.”Proverbs‬ ‭27:17‬ ‭ The moment you let go and stop forcing things to go the way you want is when God makes things the way they were meant to be in the first place. You hanging on to toxic relationships, and friendships is like holding on to a hot pan and asking why God keeps allowing it to hurt you. Knowing someone isn't meant for your life but continuing to hold on will only hurt you more in the end. When we cling to the people not meant for us, we miss out on those who are. The people we meet we often think we could never meet better, but we've thought about that in the past too. Today, you need to learn to trust God with who He chooses to be in your life. Just because God sends someone into your life doesn't mean they are meant to always be there. Some people come into your life as a blessing, but others come into your life as a lesson. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Walk with the wise and become wise; as...

Lead Others To Him.

“Don’t let anyone think less of you because you are young. Be an example to all believers in what you say, in the way you live, in your love, your faith, and your purity.” 1 Timothy‬ ‭4:12‬ ‭ One of the hardest lessons I have had to learn is no matter how bad I want to see someone change for the better nothing I say or do can make them change. I can lead by example, tell them all the right things, and do everything I can for them but until they decide to truly change, they won't. Everyone has a mind of their own, we all work in different ways. We each are our own person, but we were created by the same God. We might be different but we are also the same. We have a saying from the south that you can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink from the trough. You have to lead others to God, but you cannot make them understand what you're saying or change. Today, do what you can to lead by an example of Jesus' love, forgiveness, and mercy. Let God do the rest. Here are ...

Being Fed Daily!

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ Did you pray, read your Bible, or spend time with God today? We live in a fast-paced world, and we find ourselves in a rush constantly. The enemy starts small with distractions, then it becomes a habit to forget, and then before we know it we find ourselves drifting away from God thinking we are doing our "best". We know deep down we aren't doing our best, instead, we have let the enemy win by pulling us away from God. In high school, we find excuses for friends, events, homework, and more as to why we cannot find time. As we grow older we use work, school, family, friends, events, and more for an excuse. We forget that if we continue going to church on Sunday that will not fix a relationship with God without further effort. We cannot be fed once a week and expect to stay full. If you fill your gas tank on Sunday and trave...

There Is Always A Way Out.

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”Isaiah‬ ‭43:19‬ ‭ We tend to search for a way out, even when we cannot see one. That is what our human nature teaches us to do, but the truth is the way out is only through God. Have you ever been in a position that made you feel trapped like you cannot escape it no matter how hard you try? It doesn't matter if it's a situation, guilt that is overwhelming you, emotions that you cannot sort through, or anything else you might be going through. God can make a way for you. The verse this is based on says it all, He will make a river through the wastelands. God doesn't need help to control your situation, He knows the way to bring you out. I've been in places where I saw no possible way to overcome the place of entrapment I was in, I felt like I was at a crossroads with nowhere to turn. Instead, the reali...

Not Luck, All God!

“Blessed be the name of the Lord now and forever.”Psalms‬ ‭113:2‬ ‭ Nothing in life that we have is by luck. When we see things that we once wanted as a huge part of our lives, we tend to think how "lucky" we are. Nothing in life that we have was brought to us by luck. Everything we have in life is by blessings. we are blessed, we aren't lucky at all. A blessing is from God. The Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes from above. Nothing good in life happens by coincidence, it's a blessing. We have to give God credit. Why is it that we can say how "lucky" we are but we struggle to say we are blessed? We seemed ashamed of God but He is the one who created us. We couldn't have done anything on our own, it was only by God's grace that we were saved, forgiven, chosen, loved, cared for, and most of all blessed. His blessings are something we should appreciate. Today, replace the word luck with blessed. Luck has not had anything to do with where ...

Peace In The Storm.

“When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.” Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭ When the storm grew louder, Jesus was still napping. The disciples began to panic, trying to wake Jesus to help them. When Jesus awoke He said, peace be still. The Bible says and then there was a great calm. We each search for a great calm in every aspect of our lives, we want that peace that the Bible talks about. We must realize that the peace we are searching for is only found in Jesus. When the storm seems to be raging around you remember the story, Jesus was sleeping through the storm. Not because He didn't care about the disciples, he was scared, and most definitely not because He wasn't paying attention. Jesus slept through the Storm because He knew who was in control. He knew that He was in control of the wind and the waves. Today, remember who the Auther is of the wind and waves. God will give you great calm in ever...

A Real Friend.

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭ We all pray to have friends we can surround ourselves with. We oftentimes feel like we will take any friend we can get, even if that means they aren't the best to us. We eventually learn to be picky with who we choose to be friends with. When we are picky with those we choose to surround ourselves with we will begin to notice how they uplift us, encourage us, and help us. A real friend will stick closer than a brother, they will sharpen your walk with God and they will never pull you away from Him. You will notice that they are there when you need someone, but they are also there for all the good times. They never leave you, that is a real friend. We can have a million friends in our lifetime, but we should have a few good friends instead. We shouldn't just take anyone in to be our friends. Today, be picky knowing you deserve real friends who really care about you, ...

Forgive Yourself!

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭ God's mercy is a gift to us, and so is His forgiveness. Why is it that even after God forgives us of our sins we tend to still not forgive ourselves? We hold a grudge against the person we once were when we are no longer the same person. We are changed, renewed, and forgiven by Jesus. We have to learn to stop carrying the baggage around when we are forgiven. His mercy isn't something we earned, it's something God gave us. So what makes us better than Him to hold a grudge on ourselves? If God the creator of all things including us can forgive us then we can forgive ourselves. Stop holding on to your mistakes and live up to your potential in Christ. Today, forgive yourself the same way that God has forgiven you. You don't have to carry that baggage around. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’...

Answer To Your Prayers.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ The moment that you asked God He began to work out what you've been praying about. You have to stop sitting around worrying about how, when, and where that prayer will be answered. You're wasting your time. Coming from someone who prayed for something for over two years, God did not answer my prayer in the way that I thought He would, nor did He answer my prayer when I thought He would. The day He answered it was a normal day with no signs of change. The day God does a complete miracle that changes your life in a way you prayed for but couldn't see happening is going to be a normal day. Today, know that God will answer your prayer but stop trying to figure out the details. You don't need to know them. What matters is that God knows every tiny detail and He is at work for you in this very moment. Hold on to the hope knowing God alw...

Finding Approval.

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” ‭‭Esther‬ ‭4:14‬ From a young age with no one teaching us, we search for approval, whether from a parent, grandparent, teacher, or someone special we all want someone to tell us what we do is right. The older we get the more we cling to those words of approval, in each aspect of our lives sometimes in sports, school, a job, relationship, family, or friends. If someone tells us they approve it will be proof that we are doing what we are meant for. We must understand that no one's approval on this earth amounts to anything. Think of the story of Esther, although the King did approve of her she had no one else rooting for her. No one in power in the kingdom. God wanted her in that position and that is all that mattered. Today, stop searching for approval from other peo...

You Are Perfect.

“So God created human beings in his own image. In the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.” Genesis‬ ‭1:27‬ ‭ Before you pick out each flaw you find in yourself think about the time God spent on each detail while making you. The Bible says we are made in His image. When we are criticizing ourselves it's not just about us, it's criticizing God's work and Him. We must be proud of who we are because God is proud of who He created. When you look in the mirror instead of picking out your flaws, look at each detail God spent time on. The Bible teaches us that He knew us when He formed us in our mother's womb. He knows every detail about you, He thinks you're perfect. That is more important than what you or anyone else thinks. You are beautifully made by God. Today, know that the flaws you see aren't what God sees. He sees beauty in every aspect of you. You're perfect in God's eyes, made in His image, and created for a purpose. Here ar...

God's Not Done With You!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ God isn't finished with you yet. God has a special plan for each of our lives, we are all called to a purpose. Every little detail in our lives adds up to something big. Nothing in your life goes unnoticed by God. He sees your work, the way you love and help others and He sees how hard you're trying. There are many times we feel like God is done with us because we feel unnoticed by Him. Sometimes the reason God is quiet is because it's a test. The teacher is always silent during a test. Have you ever thought that the things you're facing are a test to see if you could handle more or even handle just what you're asking God for? God is never done with us. He sees us, He hears our prayers and He has a plan for our futures. When God created you, He created you for a purpose. Today, don't give up during the test, keep pu...

God Will Make A Way!

“Listen! It’s the voice of someone shouting, “Clear the way through the wilderness for the Lord! Make a straight highway through the wasteland for our God!” Isaiah‬ ‭40:3‬ ‭ He will make a way. I often think of Moses's story, when I wonder how God will make a way. God told Moses to go save the Israelites from slavery in Egypt. Moses and the Israelites had to run and came up to the Red Sea with them still being chased. God then split the Red Sea letting them cross it, and then drowning those who chased them. This is how God really works. We don't see a way for that prayer to be answered, even when we get to the point of the problem, but God makes a way at the right moment and splits our Red Sea. The same God that made a way for Moses and the Israelites, He will make a way for you too. Today, you've got to hold on to the knowledge that God will make way for you in every circumstance. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He commanded the Red Sea to dry up. He led Israel ...

Fallin' For Jesus!

“Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins.” Romans‬ ‭3:24‬ ‭ As the season is changing, the leaves are going to change and begin to fall from the tree we are going to notice that although all of nature will look different it will still be beautiful. When we get a real relationship with God we start out as the summer, being full of sin, as we grow closer we begin to see a change in ourselves as the fall, but then as we grow more and more like Jesus we become the winter, white as snow cleansed from sin. We cannot stay in the summer because the fall is here. We need to let ourselves fall for Jesus and watch as He changes us. We are all called to God for a purpose. Today, let yourself change in Jesus into a new creation. Fall for Jesus more than ever and get away from your sins. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “And he who is the Glory of Israel will not lie, nor will he change his mi...

A Sudden Blessing!

““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭ God's not done with you, yet! We cannot give up on the blessing before it gets here. We tend to want to stop before the best things happen. When working towards the blessing we cannot give up before it happens. I remember a time in my life when I felt what I was praying for was taking forever to come to pass, I knew God could do the impossible but I was afraid that it would take forever. During that season I realized that my timing wasn't God's, but that did not mean the blessing wasn't coming. The blessing indeed did come but it was not in my time, it was in God's, it happened unexpectedly and suddenly. I pray today that your sudden blessing will come! If you're praying for something keep on praying! God is listening to your prayers. Today, know that this blog you're reading is your sign that th...
