Have The Heart Of A Child.

“Then he said, “I tell you the truth, unless you turn from your sins and become like little children, you will never get into the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭18:3‬ ‭ This verse has been coming to me over and over lately. Think of the love, kindness, gentleness and joy a child has, that is what we must become like to enter into Heaven. We must become humble to those above us. We must become loving to those who hurt and betray us. We must become kind to strangers and every person that we meet. We must become gentle with everyone we come in contact with because some have been hurt before they met us. We must be joyful even when life isn’t good, because God is great all the time. A child has no concept of time, as adults we worry about deadlines on everything, but children don’t. We have to stop letting time control us, we have to understand that no we aren’t here on earth forever, but the time we do have here we need to make it count. We need to love the people it’s difficult to lo...

He Loves You!

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭ Have you ever sat and thought about how much God truly loves us? It’s amazing once you begin to think about it, I mean look at it this way, He created us from the dirt and we sinned against him but He sent His one and only Son to die on a cross for our sins so that we could spend an eternity with Him! Someone that does that much after we done Him so wrong really must love us right? It goes much deeper than that though, we all have made mistakes and fallen short of God but that never stops Him from loving us. We always say “I’ll love you forever” to the people we love, and we will until our last day, but when God says He loves us, He really loves us forever. God doesn’t have a day where He doesn’t love us, even if we make Him mad or disappointed He still chooses us as His children and loves us unconditionally. I know you might have times whe...

What Feels Like Is Breaking You, God Is Using To Make You!

““O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” Jeremiah‬ ‭18:6‬ ‭ This past week has been battle after battle for my family and me, as I was at my wit's end today I sat in my car and turned my worship music on, and a song came on that said “this is how I fight my battles”, I began to weep and pray because that is how I was and am fighting my battles. In that moment of brokenness and at rock bottom God spoke to me and said, "I am good, even when life is not." How many times have we been in a place of brokenness and we forget that God is still good? I know I even have. I then began to get a revelation on things, because I couldn't understand why I was going through so much at once, it then came to me, "I am the potter, and You are the clay." We always think that when life breaks us down to the bottom that it's the end, or that we're being punished somehow, but that isn...

Jesus Wept Too.

“Then Jesus wept.” John‬ ‭11:35‬ ‭ Anytime you're sad or hurt, don't feel bad to cry. The shortest verse in the Bible is one of the most powerful, this verse shows us that only was Jesus human but that He felt emotions the same way that we do. It's okay to cry over things, it's okay to feel hurt, Jesus felt those emotions just as you are. This generation teaches us to hide how we feel, don't cry over things, and pretend it's all okay, but that isn't what Jesus did, so why would we? We should let ourselves cry to Jesus and feel those emotions. We are human, we have flesh and we have emotions. It’s okay to feel pain, but what you have to remember is that God never brings pain without purpose. What you’re going through isn’t for nothing. Look at Joseph being sold, sent to prison then he became second in command, look at Noah he was made fun of because he was building an ark with no rain, look at Sarah and Abraham she couldn’t bare children and God gave her a ch...

If We Are Truly Righteous.

“My conscience is clear, but that doesn’t prove I’m right. It is the Lord himself who will examine me and decide.”1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭ We think we are right with God, that we are doing all the right things and that we are righteous, but that doesn’t always mean that we are. See God is who examines our hearts and souls and sees if we are truly righteous. We can’t go to Heaven by good works alone. We can never do enough good things to make it into Heaven, that is why Jesus came and died on the cross 2,000 years ago. If we could go to Heaven by good works alone why would Jesus have come? Why would we need a Savior? We spend so much time trying to be independent we forget we need to learn to be dependent on God! You’re not supposed to figure it all out, because God already has. We don’t find righteousness because righteousness found us 2,000 years ago at Calvary on the Cross. Today pray and ask Jesus to show you what you need to change about yourself to be truly righteous in Him. Here ar...

Staying Above Water.

“Jesus replied, “You don’t understand now what I am doing, but someday you will.”” John‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭ Have you ever been in a position that God places you in but you truly just don’t understand? We all have those moments when God sets us out of the boat, and tells us to walk. The problem is we start to focus on the issues and look away from God, then we begin to slip into the water just as Peter did when he took his eyes off Jesus. When we are in a situation of things we cannot fix or things we cannot understand we tend to give it all of our attention, and it takes our attention off God. If we focus more on God instead of our problems then we will always know the answer to get through them and fix them. See God doesn’t think like us, or see things the way that we do, that’s why when our focus is on God we have no need to worry because what happens is we are focused solely on God and He is fixing the things in and around us in that time. Today make sure you’re focusing on your relationship ...

A Million Ways!

““My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.”Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬ As I sat outside today in the beautiful weather I began to wonder how God made the earth, everything in it, and made it spin in orbit, something even more to think about is how it was made from nothing. If God were to tell me to create a planet from nothing, I would ask how, then say, but God, I see no way to do so. See in our human minds there is no possible way to create a universe from nothing, then form trees, grass to grow, humans, and animals on the earth, but God, He had a million ways to do this. He didn’t need help to figure it out, He knew how! That’s how our life circumstances are, we see no possible way to work out our problems, fix our relationships, find the right career path, how to get enough money to pay the bills, or get that car we need, but God, God sees a million ways to fix any problem we are stressed over or trying to figure out. Ju...

Trust The Author.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ When reading a book an author puts their emotions, thoughts and sometimes true life stories into the book. Life is like a book, but the greatest part about it is we can have a relationship with the author. The future shouldn't worry us when we know who is writing the future. Next time you find yourself stressing about the future, ask the one who is writing it to give you peace, and tell you if it will be okay. God knows the future and know what and whom is in it. You never have to worry. If God knows the number of sand on the beach and the number of hairs on your head I promise He knows the future for you. We spend so much time worrying about what's next that we don't enjoy the blessings of now. The Bible tells is that "He knows the plans He has for us, they are good and not for disaster to give us a future and a hope...

The 5-Star Healer and Creator.

“Then Jesus shouted, “Lazarus, come out!”” John‬ ‭11:43‬ ‭ How come we trust people and things in the world so easily but struggle to trust the one who created the world itself and us? It doesn't make sense when we think of it that way. We struggle to lay our problems into God's hands, but isn't He the only one who knows the best way to fix them? The problem is we put our faith and trust into the world and things of this world instead of the only one we should be putting it into. We forget that God is the one who made us from dirt, made the entire world and everything in it in seven days, so why couldn't He fix everything that worries us in that time. We always put God on a deadline, we think that He's late sometimes or He has forgotten us, but think about how Lazarus felt when he was dead for four days before Jesus came. If you're feeling forgotten or feel like God just can't fix what is hurting you then lay it in His hands and let it go, if He can raise so...

Change The World By Being Kind!

“A time to tear and a time to mend. A time to be quiet and a time to speak.” Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3:7‬ ‭ My mom always taught me that if I didn’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything at all. If we all lived by that imagine how much easier it would be for people to feel comfortable in public, and to feel loved being around others. Have you ever been around a bunch of people and felt left out, that’s how some people feel everyday. We need to keep rude thoughts to ourselves. What joy is it to break someone down? There isn’t any. We should never hurt someones feelings for self gain, that isn’t only harming them but it is also harming how they view theirselves. We should make each person feel just as good as the next. I read a quote once that said, “friendships, relationships or even acquaintances we should leave each of them better and more confident than we found them.” And it’s so true! We should help others find the gold in them as we would want them to do to us. Today message or...

Don’t take Pride In Yourself.

“Even though I am a free man with no master, I have become a slave to all people to bring many to Christ.”1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:19‬ ‭ People in today’s world are so disrespectful to their elders, co-workers, bosses, and even parents, but I believe that they have forgotten that those are the ones who help them the very most. The Bible teaches that we are free in Christ, but we should become humble to those around us. We shouldn’t walk around with our heads held high thinking we are better than anyone else around us, or that we deserve more than them. When God created us He didn’t make any of us better than the next, we all have unique things about ourselves but we shouldn’t be prideful in ourselves. In the world, it teaches you to make sure your appearance is perfect, while it’s okay to make sure we dress and look appropriate on the outside we have to make sure our inside screams the Fruits of the Spirit! Why would someone think we are Christians if we walked around bragging about ourselves...

The Y In The Road.

“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:6‬ ‭ Have you ever been praying for something and God told you no? Sometimes when we want something God says no, and we get so upset and discouraged, but in reality, we should thank Him for the no's. He’s saving us from something that could harm us or just isn’t meant for our lives. Sometimes God’s no is just a redirection, maybe He has something different planned for you. Imagine this: you ask God to take you to see a mountain. You then come to a Y in the road, to the left is a way up a mountain that you can see in the distance, so, therefore, you want to go left, you want to go to the left, but to the right there are trees, and all you see is woods. God says go right, so you follow God. You can’t understand why God would send you into the woods when you asked for a mountain to see. Behind those trees, as you follow God, you find an open field with a beautiful waterfall, flowers blooming, and a be...

The Right People.

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭ God will never forget to put the right people in your life if you can stop letting the wrong ones in! You can't expect God to let the right people in while you keep surrounding yourself with the wrong ones. We all have hung out with someone that we knew we didn't need to or felt as though something just wasn't right and done it anyways and it ends with us getting our emotions hurt. The right people that God sends into your life will never hurt you, abandon you or make you feel less than they or anyone around them. You keep asking God why He removed those people from your life whom you cared so much about but see God knew they weren't good for you or didn't have good intentions for you! You are worth so much more than someone who doesn't value you or your time. You are a child of the Most High God, nothing about you is ordinary instead you are extrao...

If It’s God’s Will!

“So we have not stopped praying for you since we first heard about you. We ask God to give you complete knowledge of his will and to give you spiritual wisdom and understanding.” Colossians‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ Have you ever been praying for something that you didn't think was possible then when you got it you kind of ran from it? I have also, and that's not the way you have to do things. See the Bible says to ask anything of God, if it is His will then He will answer it. God wouldn't have answered it if it wasn't a part of His will for your life. You're about to come into a season where you're going to be saying, "This is it, it's finally here! I prayed for this." Just don't let the enemy scare you away from the gift God is giving you, you can't ever go wrong by asking God for something. God doesn't give us something and then say, "well, I messed up you didn't need that blessing I gave you yesterday." Now, God will give us things an...

You’re Being Prepared!

“God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭3:17‬ ‭ Have you ever had a dream that was so big it seemed impossible, but God said He could do it for you? I know I have and it came to pass. Times are really tough on us sometimes and that’s just the way life is. Have you ever stopped for a minute and thought that maybe the struggles you are facing today are preparing you for what you prayed for? Think about it like this when you start working out you can’t carry much weight, but the more you work out the more muscle you have to hold the weight easily. If you’re struggling holding the weight now, maybe it’s just God preparing you to be able to hold the weight of what you’re praying for. Keep doing what you’re doing, God is so proud of you. He is only preparing you. Something I have learned is anytime God made me wait for something He gave me better than I expect or prayed for. You’re not going through this battle for nothing, it’s strengthening you...

Find Him With Your Heart.

“But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for him with all your heart and soul, you will find him.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:29‬ ‭ This verse tells us that we will find Him when we search for God with our whole hearts and soul. I know it's fast paste in the world where we all get caught up in school, work, events, errands, and shopping, but we can't let those things be the king of our hearts. When you're truly searching for God you're breaking away from the things that took up more space than Him in your heart, your heart's focus is completely on God. You can't worship two things at one time, you have to choose one thing to be king of your heart. We forget that our hearts and souls go together, and we have to let them flow Living Water from God. We tend to put other things over God, when in reality if we want Him to put us first why would we put Him last? I read this story of a preacher, preaching to a crowd, a person in the crowd st...

God Of The Comeback.

“Now I am on trial because of my hope in the fulfillment of God’s promise made to our ancestors.” Acts ‬26:6‬  I know some of you are in a season where you're confused maybe about what is coming next or why you're going through what you are, but I'm here to tell you this season of confusion is fixing to pass, God is about to make all of it come together and make sense. You might be confused about why things went the way they did, why things are going as they are, or how things are going to go but the best thing about God is He isn't in one place. See, God is in the past, present, and future, He knows all things. You're worrying so much about something God can fix in a matter of seconds. You might not see a way for things to work, things to come back together, or things to fix themselves but God has a million ways to do it. I have been praying for something and God has been giving me dreams about it, I woke up from a dream the other morning, and soon as I woke up, Go...

Speak Up!

““If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” John‬ ‭15:18‬  In today’s society we are taught to keep our religious views to ourselves as though we are ashamed of them.  We are taught to not speak up about Jesus because it could make someone feel uncomfortable or make them think we are pushing what we believe onto them. The thing is if they only understood as a Christian they would understand why we can’t keep quiet. Imagine someone goes out and buys you a new car, any car you want, and says “if you tell others about this then I’ll do the same for them. They can experience the same gift I have given you.” Why would you want to keep that quiet? You’d tell everyone. See God didn’t give us cars from the cross, but He did give us freedom from sin and death, which results in eternal life with Him. Why should we not speak of all the wonderful things He has done, and how they can also experience an eternal glory with Him just as we can. We shouldn’t let the world change...

He knows the future!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬  You have to have the mindset to never give up on what God has promised you. We make promises sometimes to keep them but being human and not knowing the future things fall through. The difference between us and God making promises is we don't know the future when we make the promise, but God does know it when He makes the promise. God has a promise for each of us, you can ask God to show you His promise for you. I know I write about promises a lot but imagine having the one who created you promise you something great for your life? Isn't that amazing, how you can completely depend on the promises He makes to us that they will come to pass. I have learned that if I spend more time in prayer listening instead of talking I will learn a lot more. Today when you're praying tell God your problems, things you want answers to, and ...

Bravery In God.

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” Esther‬ ‭4:14‬  The story of Esther has always been my favorite, she was so brave to stand up to the king and his right-hand man just for her people. If we all had her fearlessness it would scare the enemy, wouldn't it? See we tend to forget just because we don't feel like we are fearless doesn't mean that we aren't. The reason she accomplished so much isn't that she knew who she was it was because she knew whose she was. If we know that we belong to God that's where the enemy stands no chance. See we forget that our power, strength, and help comes from God alone, and when someone stands up against God they stand no chance. You have to stop letting the enemy control you and become more like Esther, stand up for God's people knowing that God i...

The Calling Is Higher.

“And having chosen them, he called them to come to him. And having called them, he gave them right standing with himself. And having given them right standing, he gave them his glory.”Romans‬ ‭8:30‬  The reason the battle has been so difficult on you is that your calling is higher. When you're called by God you lose friends and earthly treasures sometimes not because God doesn't want you to have those things that you love but because when you have a calling you can't have things that are distracting you from what you are meant to do here on earth. Sometimes God puts you in a season of isolation to free you from those things that aren't meant to go to this next level in your calling. You have to stop holding on to those things tighter than you hold on to your calling and relationship with God. Earthly things are meaningless compared to your calling to God. The reason you lost those friends or that relationship ended is that God is taking things that we're bringing y...

Godfidence.

“For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.” Philippians‬ ‭4:13‬  Godfidence means knowing that you can't, but God can and trusting God with everything. He sees that you have tried your best and now you see that the only way is through God. If you look far enough in the Bible, you see that most of them were put in positions they could not fix or control to see that God can and will. Look at Daniel in the lion's den, look at Job having nothing, Joesph who lost his family and ended up in a prison for something he didn't do, Jonah who was in the belly of a whale, look at Joshua against the wall, look at the Israelites trying to get to the promised land for so long, and even Lazarus who died and was risen again, see all of these things happened for God's glory. What we go through here on earth is for a purpose and will bring God glory. If we were always in a place where everything was perfect then where would we have a testimony to tell about? Whatever ...

God Is Sending The Blessing!

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.”Romans‬ ‭8:28‬  ‭God is about to send you a blessing that you least expected to get, you feel that you aren't worth for His goodness but you're more than worthy for it. He created you and He knows every mistake you've made, but He died on the cross 2,000 years ago and freed you. It is going to make you so happy to see how He has been working behind the scenes for you all this time when you didn't see it or feel it coming. You're about to be happier than you ever have been when God does this for you. God is opening new doors that you didn't even see coming or think was possible to open. God is He doesn't work on one door at a time, or one situation at a time, He works all things together for our good the Bible tells us. If you're a child of God you never have to worry because God always has your best interest in min...

The Troubles Will Soon Be Over.

“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭4:17‬  We spend so much time thinking the hard times will last forever, but the Bible teaches us they won’t last long that the glory of God is forever. Never think that your current situation is your final destination, you still have so much more to accomplish. Don’t give up hope just yet, you’re about to come out of this hard time with more than you had before. You deserve good things in life and God sees that, you’re about to see his abundant rain of blessings come over your life! You have no need to fear, God is stepping in, your present troubles will soon end. Have faith, God never sent you into the situation alone in the first place, He has been beside you, behind you, and before you the whole time, you’ll soon know that the reason you’ve gone through what you did was all for His glory to shine through you. When you ...

The Package Is Coming!

"You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head." Psalms 139:5 Don't let the enemy distract you from what is in front of you, the blessing you've been praying for is still on track to arrive on time. Nowadays we do most of our shopping online, when we place the order they give us a tracking number to see when our package arrives at each step to get to us, but God doesn't work that way when we need a miracle or a blessing. The tracking number from God is in the form of trust and faith in Him alone. If you're waiting on a package from God know that it's on the way, and it's going to arrive just on time. When God promises something He keeps it no matter what. God can't work out our situations or send us new things if we're constantly trying to do them ourselves. You can't say you're leaving everything in God's hands if you constantly are trying to figure it out yourselves. Today God wants you to sit back and...

Let God be God

“And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.” Philippians‬ ‭4:19‬ We spend so much time figuring out how God will do it that we forget He already knows how He will. We don’t have to worry about how, when, or where we should just let God be God! If He said he will do it, He most definitely will. See the thing about God is He hates sin, so therefore He cannot sin. Lying is a sin the Bible teaches us, so therefore God won’t lie to you. If God doesn’t lie, then why would He promise you something that He isn’t going to do? He wouldn’t. If God said it He will do it. Stop stressing about your circumstances so much, God is the one who created you, and if He can create a human being I promise He can work out all of our life problems. Let God be God in all places of your life, trust in Him and trust that He will handle it just the right way. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For the strength of ...

Choose Who Controls Your Mind!

“No one can know a person’s thoughts except that person’s own spirit, and no one can know God’s thoughts except God’s own Spirit.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭2:11‬ ‬‬ God knows our thoughts the Bible does teach us, but no one or no enemy can know them. We tend to let the enemy control our minds even though they don’t know our thoughts they can try to control them if we give them the power to do so. Something came to me yesterday that we can know which thoughts are from God and which are not. See thoughts from God come in the form of peace, good things, and never confusion even though we might not comprehend it’s not confusing. Thoughts from the enemy come as great fear, doubt, and things we know aren’t right. We can choose to let God be the one in control of our minds or we can choose if the enemy is, we have the choice but only we can choose. No one else knows your thoughts, so therefore no one else can choose for you. Today tell the enemy “no! I will not let you control my mind.” And take a ste...

Peace, Be Still.

"As they sailed across, Jesus settled down for a nap. But soon a fierce storm came down on the lake. The boat was filling with water, and they were in real danger." Luke 8:23   Notice this verse says that Jesus was sleeping through the storm, see the reason Jesus could sleep so peacefully through it all is that He knew where His peace came from and He knew that He was in control. We would be able to be a lot happier and sleep better if we would realize that God is in control and He is where our peace comes from. It doesn't matter how big the storm looks that we are in or headed to if we know where our peace is found we will never lose it. The next part of this story tells of how Jesus spoke, "Peace, be still" in any circumstance of your life Jesus can do this too. He doesn't have to figure out a jigsaw puzzle to give you peace or to calm the storm, all He has to do is speak the words. When God was creating the heavens and the earth He didn't have to figu...

Your Heart Is God's Home.

"Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God's love and keep you strong." Ephesians 3:17 When we put our trust in Jesus He makes our hearts his home, we are strong through Christ alone. See the thing about God is He will save us a million times over from situations we put ourselves in. When we struggle with trusting Him, He still comes through for us, anyways. If you feel like you've gone too far, you've done too much, or been down the wrong path for too long remember that God made a home in your heart the first time you trusted Him. He doesn't leave, He doesn't give up or let you go just because you get further away from Him, He stays in your heart where He made His home. You can always open your heart back up to Him. You still have a chance to have that relationship with God that you've longed for, you don't have to be perfect to make the turn around you just have to make effort. You'r...

Where Happiness Is At.

"Joyful are the people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord." Psalms 119:1 Happiness is something we all long for, something we search for in all aspects of life. The key to happiness is through Jesus. Think of it this way, if you want something sweet but instead, you eat something spicy that will never feel the craving you have, it's the same way in life, if you're looking for happiness that will be long lasting, it isn't found in temporary things those can never fill it completely. So many people depend on money, cars, and fame those being things that will never last. We have to let our happiness be found in God alone. See money is described in the Bible as the root of all evil, once you get a little extra money to spend you want a little more to spend the next time, I know we have to work to have money for bills, food and needs we have but we can't let it become the root of our happiness and what we depend on most. In the Bible it says we ...

God Has A Plan.

"Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see." Hebrews 11:1 We must learn to trust God as much as we for the the sun to come up in the mornings. When we pray for something, we shouldn't say afterward, "Well, if it happens" we should say, "When it happens." We should be so sure that God will fulfill the promises that He has said, we need to speak it as though it's already happened or begun to happen. When we're praying for something most times we don't see it, feel it or even know that it's coming because what is trusting that God will do it if we already can see it. We always say "but there is no way it can be fixed or work out" just because you don't see a way doesn't mean that God doesn't. Imagine you're in the time before the earth even was created, and God is explaining what He wants to do and the things He wants to add to the earth, I am more than sure we would a...
