God Doesn't Need Help.

“And since we know he hears us when we make our requests, we also know that he will give us what we ask for.” 1 John‬ ‭5:15‬ ‭ It's so easy to want to take things into our own hands and make things happen the way that we want. That is never the souloutin though. When we do that all we do is create a reality that we forced to be meant for us whether it actually is or not. I have been asking for God to open a door for me, I kept questioned why I could not go ahead and do things myself, and just get it over with. I felt God peak to me. "Because, making things happen only makes the outcome you want, not the outcome I want." I know the waiting isn't fun, and it's difficult, but what God has for you will find you. God has not forgotten you, He just works on a different time table than you do. Today, just keep having faith that what God really has for you will find you. Doing your part is one thing, but making something happen is another. Here are some verses to reflect ...

Be Willing To Move!

““And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.”Luke‬ ‭11:9‬ ‭ What we need to start praying is that if we aren't where we are meant to be in this moment then ask God to lead you there. You cannot expect God to lead you when you aren't willing to move. It's like asking God to open a door for you to move to a different city and not willing to move to the different city. You have to be willing to do what you pray for. Today, if you're praying for something keep in mind how you will react if God does answer your prayer. When God opens a door you have to walk through it. Have the kind of faith that is not changed due to circumstances. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ “But if you remain in ...

God Will Show You!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Sometimes we can feel things before they even happen. God knows we have our flesh, our feelings but we also have the Holy Spirit. I had been feeling something last week, today I found out I was right. It wasn't anything bad but I knew in my Spirit about it before it even happened. I feel like when we truly get close with God then He can work in us without us having to ask. God will show you things at times before they even happen, but He also will provide the way. The Bible says, "For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, Plans of good and not for disaster." That tells us that God's plans for our lives are good things. That tells me that when something is happening God's intentions are good, He will show us those good things at times. Today, know that not every time something is happening you won't ...

God Will Answer You.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” ‭‭Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ What you prayed for will happen. He knows the things that you need. When we go to God with a request, He will grant us our hearts desires if it also lines up with His plans for us. If you're searching for something know that God is already working on it. He has a plan that outweighs yours. It might not be on your time, the way you wanted it to happen, or how you wanted it to happen but God will work it out for your good. Today, let go of the things out of your control, pray and ask God for exactly what you want and if it is meant for you then you can count on the fact that God will answer you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭ “We can make our plans, but the Lord determines our steps.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:9‬ ‭ “And we know that God causes every...

Speak By Faith.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭ Faith is the between where you are and where you want to be. Stop expecting God to open a door for you if you walk around doubting Him all day. You cannot expect God to believe your faith if you constantly speak failure. I had a test today, I knew that I could retake it but I wanted to pass the first time. I was nervous right before the test started and stated to someone that I was going to fail. In the moment that I said it I knew I spoke that into existence. I failed by 4 points. If I had spoke that God had me, things would workout and I would pass the exam I truly believe I would have passed. Today, speak with your faith not doubt. You got this because God has got this. Her are some verses to reflect on today. “And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.” Hebre...

He Is Answering That Prayer!

“Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.”‭‭Matthew‬ ‭21:21‬ ‭ The next season you walk into will be one of the greatest of your life. God is about to bless you in ways you never seen possible, He is going to answer prayers that you thought He forgot. The problem is your doubt is standing in the way. How can God give you the blessing if you have a heart full of doubt? God blesses those who choose to have faith even when the entire world cannot see why you do, when you believe even after the situation looks hopeless, when you hang on to what God has spoken in a still moment through the raging winds of the storm howling, He wants your faith to be so big and so bold that nothing changes it. You have to let go of doubt and start speaking today that God will do exactly what you're praying for. Today, know...

Breakthrough Is On The Horizon.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Why would you give up now? The breakthrough is on the horizon. You might not can see it, or feel it but it's coming. So many times in the past you never know how close the breakthrough was and boom you found it. God doesn't always show us what He is about to do, because sometimes faith is what is important in the moment. He doesn't need to update you every few days to let you know the promise is still coming, the faith is in the waiting. We all have something we are looking forward to, something we pray God opens for us, heals us from or makes happen for us. Just when you thought it was over God sends you a breakthrough. Today, don't give up the breakthrough is fixing to happen. It will be better than you can imagine. He has amazing plans for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “I pray that God, the source ...

Don't Be Betrayed.

“When arguing with your neighbor, don’t betray another person’s secret.” Proverbs‬ ‭25:9‬ ‭ Be caucious who you trust in life. We seem to forget the pain even Jesus went through with betrayal. He was betrayed by Judas but also by Peter who denied Him. We have to be kind and loving to others but we don't have to give them things to hurt us. We tend to all overshare at times, but sometimes it's best to keep a friendly distance from people while remaining kind. It's important that we be kind to all those around us, but it's also important to protect ourselves from being hurt. Today, be kind to everyone but also don't let them have the ability to hurt you. Those you think you can trust aren't always your best friend like you think. Judas and Peter both followed with Jesus everyday for years, yet they still betrayed Him. The greatest friend that will never betray or hurt you will always be Jesus, and He always wants to be there for you. Here are some verses to reflec...

Be An Example.

“Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.”Ephesians‬ ‭4:32‬ ‭ You don't have to agree with peoples lives choices to be nice and loving to them. We often as Christians hear about how others look down on us for being judgmental but most of us aren't that way. We should be extra loving to those who are in sin so they can see the love and forgiveness of God. When we are kind to those in sin we are showing them what a real Christian should be like instead of pushing them further away. God has a plan for their lives if they're open to it and judging them won't make them want to do the right thing more. Today, be kind to those you know living in sin. Be forgiving as Jesus has been to you and show them that forgiveness. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too.”” Mar...

Be Yourself, Always!

“Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.” Galatians‬ ‭1:10‬ ‭ Being different isn't a bad thing. Growing up we fear not fitting in the crowd at school and social events. Over time we learn that fitting in is kind of overrated. If we spend our entire lives trying to fit in then how will we ever be who we are meant to be. We all have a crowd that being ourselves we will naturally fit into. God didn't design us to have to be like others to fit in. I think about how Abraham would lie and say his wife was his sister to kings out of fear that they wouldn't welcome him. Lying about who we are to ourselves and others to fit in doesn't end with us fitting in with those people. Instead be yourself and those you fit in with it will be those God has meant to be in your life. You never have to change to have someone in your life, always remember God will have the perfect people for you. He...

Keep Asking God!

““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭ God has already started working on what you're praying for. I was praying about something tonight, and I felt as if I have prayed for it a million times. I felt like I was being too much, or that God was getting annoyed with me for asking so many times. I was then reminded that we can never ask God for something too many times. When we pray and ask for something that shows we have faith that God can do it for us. What we pray for is what God listens to us for the proof of our faith. If we aren't praying about it then how are we expecting God to of it for us. Today, if you've been praying for something for a while then hold on to the faith. You have not been forgotten, you praying is so important. The Bible says to keep on asking, that is exactly what we should do. Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““And ...

Be Faithful Where You Are Now!

““If you are faithful in little things, you will be faithful in large ones. But if you are dishonest in little things, you won’t be honest with greater responsibilities.” Luke‬ ‭16:10‬ ‭ I remember growing up when I would be good in town, and act good my parents would get me a toy. A reward for me being good always helped motivate me. This verse is something I think about a lot. We think that the small things that we are doing don't amount to anything because we see no prize ahead, but the truth is the that when we are faithful in what we have that is small God will make it something much larger. God has something huge in store for each of our lives, but we have to be faithful in the small things first. Today, be faithful where you are! God has something bigger in store for you next, but be faithful in this moment. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.”Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭ “Com...

Who You Marry Matters.

“This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.”Genesis‬ ‭2:24‬ ‭ Today in church the Pastor preached on we wouldn't have had a Judah if it wasn't for Joesph the dreamer, and we wouldn't have had the same lineage of Jesus had it not been for them. It made me think on how many times I have heard people say that God doesn't have just one person designed for us to marry. I highly disagree. The lineage of my life will not ever be someone as significant as Jesus, but who I choose to marry and create a family with could become someone like Judah or Joesph. I think of how Esther was called to save the Jews, she most defiantly didn't want to go forward to the king but her genetics and the way she was raised then she wouldn't have had respect for her elder, Mordecai, to do as he asked. Who you choose to marry, does matter. I got advice from someone one time that told me it is better to wait than marry wro...

In All The World, God Sees You!

“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ When we think of the galaxy, stars, planets, countries, cities, and all the people we feel small. We often feel as though we could be looked over from God and forgotten. There is someone we can always count on though, God will never forget us. Even though this is a big world, a lot of things and people in it there is no way for God to forget us. He can see and do a million things at a time, we don't see that even possible, but we also are looking from a human point of view. We aren't meant to understand it in our minds, God is not like us. We aren't forgotten, God is great at multitasking. He sees your every move, knows your every thought and cares so much. When you're crying in your room and feel as if no one is around you, know that God still sees you. Even with all the things going on in the world you weren...

When God Opens The Door!

“From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” John‬ ‭1:16‬  ‭When God opens the door for you in this next season don't let anyone talk you out of thinking you're ready for it. God knew what to prepare you for, He also knew what you'd need to have to get there. God would never give you something you aren't ready for. He knows your heart, He heard your prayers and they are about to become reality! What you've cried over, prayed over and spoke in faith will become the testimony you will tell. Your testimony will be amazing to tell others about. God is about to bless you in ways you didn't even see possible. Today, get ready for what God has next, He has already prepared you for this blessing. When the blessing comes walk in confidence from your faith, knowing you're ready! The blessings will flow and you will be happier than ever before. Here are some verses to reflect on today.““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask...

Tell Them About Jesus!

“For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.” Romans‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭ You can only lead people to Christ, you cannot make them serve Him. Someone has to genuinely want to serve God with their whole heart, that is not something you can do for them. They can only be lead by example, a showing them how to serve God by them watching the lives of true Christians, starting with you. We as Christians should speak about Jesus every chance we get, letting others see Christ through us. We might be the only person to ever speak of Jesus to someone, you could be the one person to change someone's life with just expressing your love for Jesus. Someone somewhere told you the Gospel whether it was your parent, sibling, friend, co worker, family member or a stranger. Someone took a chance of expressing Jesus' love to you and changing your life for the better. Everyday we should do the same for so...

Have You Prayed?

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ We tend to get busy and put our prayer life on the back burner. We put all the things that we are too busy doing in life above talking to God. I was talking to myself out loud the other day and my mom heard me and said don't pay attention to her, as she spoke to her client, she is only talking to herself. One of the girls that work with my mom said, I think you're talking to God, I do it also. I've thought about that a lot, and I've come to realize that I do that more than I think. I even sometimes question what I should do to God as I'm talking about what I'm doing. Today, if you're too busy you think for God talk to Him while you work, workout, drive, cook, clean or do other things. Prayer has so many different forms it's not only getting on our knees and bowing our heads. Here are some verses to reflect on tod...

Happiness That Will Never Fulfill.

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭ Happiness is something we are all searching for in life, it's something that we each want to feel. I have come to realize if I want to feel happiness it begins with finding God. I will never be happy in this world when I don't have God in my life. Although people think they might be happy on earth now, there will come a time for eternity and if their lives are full of sin then happiness will never last. Believing that this world can satisfy your soul is only lying to yourselves. You have to find a true meaningful relationship with God and work on it everyday, you aren't called to be perfect but you have to make an effort. God knows your heart, and if you're trying He sees that. Today, spend time truly seeking God for the happiness you're searching for. This earth cannot fill your soul. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken sp...

Let Go!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Walking away from something you want to hold on to sometimes guides us to the thing that we need the most. Have you ever thought that the moment you let go of what you know you're not meant to have but clinging on to will be the moment God opens the perfect door for you? We cannot expect God to give us everything that we are praying for when we are still clinging to what He has showed us is not for us. Letting go isn't always easy, but sometimes it is necessary. Maybe there is a friendship, relationship, job, or situation that God has showed you is not meant for you, let go and have the faith that God will open what is meant for you. it might not happen immediately but with faith God give you something great. Today, trust that what God has for you is even better than what you're letting go of. Here are some verses to refl...

We Are Not Self-Made.

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ We tend to find ourselves boasting about how we made things happen for ourselves, when in reality nothing that we have is because of something we could do on our own. God has a purpose for us, and whatever that maybe He will bless us in what His plans are. We cannot be so confident in ourselves that we forget that nothing we have is through ourselves, the reality is that we are receiving blessings from God. He made things happen for us, and we ourselves are only a vessel in the midst. Today, be boastful in knowing God is the reason you have made it this far. Every good and perfect gift is from above, and only God can give us that. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “From his abundance we have all received one gracious blessing after another.” John‬ ‭1:16‬ ‭ “For I know the plans I have for you,” say...

Wait Patiently!

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ If God is making you wait, then wait patiently. Nothing in the waiting is a waste. I remember a time in my life where I was praying for something, I waited years and seem to receive no answer. I waited and waited. Somedays I was impatient and cried all day, other days I waited with patience of steel and praised God for what I knew I would someday receive. Sometimes the waiting is easy, other times it is an uphill battle. Whenever we are waiting we will go through different seasons, but we can count on the fact that God is at work for us. The waiting is important and a lesson is somewhere in the midst. Today, whatever it is God is having you wait for know that the season of waiting is often a time you look back on as a blessing. Even if it doesn't feel like a blessing now someday you will see how close the waiting brought you to God. When we are waiting we often spend more tim...

God's Plan Is Best!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Stop stressing, if it is God's will for you to have something then nothing will stop it. We tend to get ahead of ourselves at times questioning if God has forgotten us, we then out of impatiens take things into our own hands and force things to be the way we think they should be. That is one of the worst things we could ever do. When forcing things we only create a bigger mess, by making something that was never meant for us happen. What we instead need to do is trust God to make what is right for us ours. We cannot expect God to make things happen if we keep trying to do it ourselves. If God has something for you nothing will be able to take that away, and nothing will be able to stop it from happening. Today, hold on to hope knowing that God has something great in store for you, nothing will stop God's plan for your life if...

Quiet During The Test!

“O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet, O God.” Psalms‬ ‭83:1‬ ‭ God heard you, so just be patient. I heard a quote once that has always stuck with me, it said that the teacher is always quiet during the test. Have you ever thought that the silence you're facing could be the test? Sometimes our patience goes to show if we have the faith that we say that we do, God wants us to be patient waiting for Him to speak. Knowing God doesn't speak in the moments that we think He should is the start of trusting God. God speaks when He think's it's time, and having faith is trusting God to speak when His timing is right. Today, know that God heard you, maybe the test of your faith is to be patient in the silence. God will speak, but you have to be patient in the silence and faithful to Him and His word. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “He replied, “What is impossible for people is possible with God.”” Luke‬ ‭18:27‬ ‭ “All Scripture is inspired by God an...

The Answer You Don't Want.

“Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:20‬ ‭ If you want to hear what God has for you then you have to be willing to listen. God will not tell you what you want to hear, He will tell you what is the truth. God cannot lie, He will be honest and sometimes it isn't what we want to hear in the moment. When we ask God for a sign and receive the sign we don't want, then we can count on the fact God has something better for us in store. His plan for our lives is better, and sometimes that means not getting what we think we want. There have been times in each of our lives that we wanted something but God replaced it with somethings else. At first we question why but one day we will look back and see that what God gave us was actually better than what we originally asked for. Just because we don't receive the answer we want at times doesn't mean that God isn't wo...

Don't Forget God!

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians‬ ‭4:6‬ ‭ Don't forget God when you receive what you are praying for. God knows the things that we want the most, and often times He does give us what we want. When God does give us the things we want we have to stop and give thanks. It's like this, if you give someone a gift that you know they have really been wanting, something they will absolutely love, and they don't even say thank you it would hurt your feelings. It would make you feel like they don't appreciate you. If someone asked how they got the gift and they said they got it for themselves it would make you hurt also. When God gives us what we are praying for we need to shout from the rooftops that God done it for us, that He made a way. We need to thank God, telling everyone about it. We should be excited to tell others about God and all the wonderful things He does for us. Toda...

Worship While You Wait.

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬ ‭ One of the most beautiful things about waiting is the worship while there. When worshiping while we wait we show God the faith that we have for Him to do things for us. When we trust God, He makes a way. Trusting God is often the biggest act of faith for us, it's giving up the stress of worrying if things will workout and trusting that God has already made things happen for us. It's letting go and knowing God is going to handle things for us. The worship is often in the form of praising God and speaking by faith. There are many forms of worship and we often don't all worship the same way, that is okay. Today, worship while you are waiting for whatever God has for you. God loves for us to show our faith in the waiting. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will r...

Sent To Your Doorstep!

“Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!”John‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭ I had been wanting another cat, I told my family that I was praying if it was God's will that God would send me one. I have been saying that since September last year. A few weeks ago a stray came up and I fed it, and never seen it again. I wasn't too sad, because I done what I could do and felt it wasn't meant to be or was already someone else's cat. Today as we pulled into the driveway a kitten was sitting at my house. I went to every house in the neighborhood and asked if it was anyones, it wasn't. I then posted it on social media, and no one claimed it. Now this was a small detail to some, but a big detail to me. I was wanting a cat, God knew my heart and knew what I wanted. He sent one to my doorstep. You might be praying for a new car, house or job. Maybe even something entirely different, and it seems silent. God heard that prayer and He is working on it. Today, think about how He knows t...

You Calling Might Not Be Understood.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ Not everyone will understand the calling on your life, and that is okay. Think about the story of Noah. God told Noah to build an Ark, it wasn't raining. I am sure everyone couldn't figure out why in the world He was building an Ark when no rain was coming down. Noah did not care what people thought, He knew what God told Him to do. He built the Ark, loaded two of each animals, and got inside. He never changed what He was doing for God because of what people might think. We need to be bold in our calling, not caring what anyone has to say. Being called by God is the greatest accomplishment in life. No one's opinion will ever amount to what God's opinion of us is. Today, follow through with your calling, knowing that whatever you are called t...

Wisdom For The Future!

“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you your heart’s desires.” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭37:4‬ ‭ We all have a picture in our minds of how we want our lives to turn out. Whether it be a job, house, relationship, building a family, a dream car, or traveling somewhere we have things that we hope for. We all have something that we desire deep in our hearts, even when no one else can see it. We spend most days and nights praying for the opportunity to accomplish these things even if we often don't mention them to anyone else. The desires in our hearts can become our reality if we will let God have His way in our lives. The desire might not turn out just like we thought, but we can count on it being the best thing for us that will be better than we imagined for ourselves. I have a dream in my heart that I pray over very often, something God showed me for my future. I have not seen the progress of that desire coming to pass, but I know there will come a time that it does. God never lets us hold...

The Sign Was Enough!

“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ I read something tonight that really spoke to me. It said that you prayed, God answered, but now that you're second guessing what you once felt for sure about. Not because you think that God changed His mind, but because fear started to whisper louder than your faith. You don't need another sign. You need to learn to start trusting in what He already made clear. I know in my life I have many times asked God over again for a sign after He showed me one, I tend to want another sign to be sure that the first one was something I understood. I have come to realize that the Bible says that God never changes His mind, that means when God tells you something it never changes. The Bible also says that God cannot lie, so when He te...

When God Open's A Door!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ God will never open a door that He has not already prepared you for. We often are scared to walk through a door out of fear of not being ready, but God will never open the door if you aren't ready for it. Do not mistake doors that you have forced opened for the doors God opens for you though. If you're continuing to try and make something happen that you haven't asked God for His input on that is often forcing a door. God opens doors that no man can shut, that also means that no man can open. The door's God has for you will be in perfect preparation for you when it opens. Stop stressing over small details, God has everything you can ever even imagine already taken care of. Today, let God open doors for you! When He does walk in them with confidence, knowing God has prepared the way before you even got there. Here are some v...
