His Promise Still Stands!

“Look at the birds. They don’t plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren’t you far more valuable to him than they are?”Matthew‬ ‭6:26‬ ‭ So many times we let time change our perspective on what God says. We think that by the way we are looking at things, it's too late for God to do something. Just know God can heal that family member, change your situation, open the door for that new job, help you buy a new vehicle, help you get into the college you so desperately want, or even just answer that prayer you've prayed for so long that you feel God has forgotten about, but He hasn't. Don't let time make you think that it still won't happen. When God says something it is set in stone, there is no going back. God says what He is going to do. You have to stop letting the enemy tell you that God has forgotten you, God never forgets us. Think of the verse about God caring for even the birds, if God remembers to feed even them why ...

The Good, Bad, And Ugly.

“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.”Matthew‬ ‭11:28‬ ‭ Sometimes it's easier to come to God with the good things instead of the bad things. We feel like if we show God all the good things we have done then we can hide the bad things from Him. This is something that even Adam and Eve struggled with, they thought that they could hide what they had done from God. See we as humans tend to think that the things we have done are unforgivable, but that is far from true. God sent Jesus so that we could easily be forgiven from sin. The best thing we can do with any mistake, burden, or temptation is to lay it at the feet of Jesus. He died for us to be able to come to Him. I used to deal with depression and insecurities and I found that when I laid it at the feet of the altar I found peace. I realized that whatever I was going through God could heal immediately. Today, don't be scared to take the good and the bad to Go...

Samson's Example.

“Finally, Samson shared his secret with her. “My hair has never been cut,” he confessed, “for I was dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as anyone else.””Judges‬ ‭16:17‬ ‭ As a kid hearing the story of Samson, I always thought his strength was literally from his hair, and although it says that it is a blessing from God to be technical. His hair was given to him by God and meant to be his strength. See to start the entire story off Samson was set apart before his birth, he had a huge purpose in God. Later on in life, Samson fell in love with Deliah, he eventually told her the secret to his strength being his hair could not be cut, and she betrayed him. She used his own secret against him to destroy him. See Samson followed his own fleshly desires to be with Delilah. If we constantly follow our flesh to be with someone we know we aren't meant for and they don't share the same belief as we do the...

Changing The World!

“The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” John‬ ‭15:19‬ ‭ If we base all of our goals in life on things in the world then we will never get to the potential we are meant for. We spend so much time trying to become more like the world that we end up becoming less like Jesus. If we spent as much time trying to become like Jesus as we do trying to fit in with the world imagine how we would be as people. If we were meant to fit in with the world then Jesus would have told us that, but instead, He said, "If the world hates you, remember it hated me first." We weren't meant to be a part of the world, we were sent here to change the world. It's like this, you go into a room that you're there to change but then try to become like it, you can't change the room to how it needs to be if you're trying to keep it the same to fit into it. You have to...

Stand Up For God!

“But everyone who denies me here on earth, I will also deny before my Father in heaven.” Matthew‬ ‭10:33‬ ‭ Jesus died for each of us in public, He did not care that others mocked Him and hated Him. Why would we live a life for Him privately? If we constantly hide our faith and the way we love God, how are we being all God has called us to be? Sometimes in life, we let others' opinions of our faith change our perspective. We tend to want to hide the best thing that has ever happened to us from everyone: God's grace and love. We cannot expect God to do miracles for us in public when we aren't public about our faith. We are always expecting God to constantly be public for and about us but when it comes down to someone making fun of God we don't stand up for Him. We have to make sure we are standing up for God in front of anyone. I struggled for a long time to make sure that I put God first in front of everyone and make it known that I'm a Christian, but I realized tha...

Never Judge Someone's Sin.

““Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.” Matthew‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭ How many times do we get comfortable in our sinful ways and not want to change? We are so quick to judge others by their sins but so slow to notice our own. We all have and will fall short of the glory of God. We need to become slower to judge others in these things and their mistakes. See the thing is that we notice every little flaw in those around us and although the Bible says to judge the tree by the fruit that it bares that does not mean to hold their mistakes against them. If you want others to be slow to speak and slow to judge you then you have to do the same in return. The Bible teaches that God has no favorites, and since that is true then God will not forgive your sins any quicker than He will forgive someone else's. Judging someone's sin is not your place and you will be judged by God just as quickly as you judge someone else. Be more patient with others and less judgemental knowing that their si...

Good Enough From The Beginning.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ We oftentimes let the enemy gaslight us into thinking we aren't good enough for the purpose God created us for. The enemy makes us think that we aren't smart enough, we aren't capable or we just aren't good enough altogether to do exactly what God has called us to do. See the thing about God is He doesn't plan things for us based on anyone's opinion not even our own. When you were being formed in your mother's womb He already knew the purpose He had for you on earth. Your purpose is never based on you being capable or good enough to do what you're meant to do, it's based on God and His strength, goodness, and mercies. You will never be able to be all that you are called to be without God. You are always good enough for the plans God has for you, you were made for this literally. Never let the enemy's...

A.S.A.P

“Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭ What in the world does this title mean? I saw a quote tonight: "A.S.A.P Always Stop And Pray." How many times do we take time to stop and pray before we eat, before we sleep, before we drive, or before we make a decision? We all are guilty of forgetting at times. The Bible teaches us to pray all the time. We tend to forget that prayer is a main priority in whatever we are doing, if we don't pray to discern the right path for us we will never be where we are meant to be. If we spent as much time praying as we do talking and texting on the phone and spending time doing other things imagine how much our relationship with God would grow? I decided a while back that at least a few times a week I would go alone to pray even if it was for only a few minutes. The more we pray the more we grow. It's like planting a seed and never watering it, it won't grow very much. Prayer is the water to our faith and our foundation with Go...

Three In One.

“Though he was God, he did not think of equality with God as something to cling to.” Philippians‬ ‭2:6‬ ‭ I know I have written a blog similar to this but I felt to write about it again. As I began to write this blog I read the one I wrote before about this, as I looked at the date it was posted it was April 22,2022. I had no idea the date I posted it but knew I felt to write this and that was my confirmation. I know a Christian song that says, "God is three in One." I always heard it and I even grew up being taught that God is three in One. I had a really hard time understanding this until someone broke it down for me. They told me, "See you have ice, boiling water that makes steam, and you have water itself, each is the same but in different forms that are all created by the water itself." I personally found another way to understand it is that you can buy 3 in one soap, shampoo, and conditioner, Although they are different in ingredients they come together and cr...

Forgiving Beyond Measure.

““No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!” Matthew‬ ‭18:22‬ ‭ We oftentimes hold a grudge against others and tend to not forgive easily. However, I read once that not forgiving someone only hurts you. It brings you down by holding a weight that you shouldn't have to carry in the first place. I have always been someone to be quick to forgive others because I always remember the patience God used for me. He was so quick to forgive me no matter how many times I hurt Him. See the Bible says that we should forgive others and we will be forgiven. You are forgiven by the same measure you forgive, and that is something to think about. Forgiving someone isn't always easy, but the Bible tells us to do that. Peter asked Jesus how often he should forgive someone who sins against him, seven times? Peter questioned. Jesus replied, "No, not seven times, but seventy times seven." Forgiving someone a million times does not make you weak, instead, it honestly mak...

Giving Where You Can.

“In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” Matthew‬ ‭5:16‬ ‭ We should use the things we are passionate about to serve others for Christ. We should take time to serve others not only serve ourselves. If you have a passion use that towards others whether it is giving them something or spending time with them and encouraging them with something you both like to do. Serving others oftentimes feel like it only benefits the other person involved, but that is very far from true. When you choose to serve others you begin to realize that you're also growing spiritually yourself. You're learning more ways to not only love people but you're also growing in Christ and understanding His love for those around you. You could help serve food at the homeless shelter, help an older person or a mother load their groceries at the grocery store, be a friend to someone at school that often sits alone, or even just be kind ...

Beauty In Everything.

“And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.” Luke‬ ‭12‬:‭7‬ ‭ If you take a look at nature it is truly amazing how God created everything with such detail. He created the moon to go behind the sun to create light reflecting through it for us to have light at night, the sun for the day, trees for air, vegetables for food and so many more things He created for us. We tend to look at nature as something simple, but it is far deeper than that, nature is a glimpse into the beauty of God. The Bible says that He takes care of even a sparrow. We tend to forget how much time and effort God spent to make every little thing on earth, every person, animal, plant, tree, cloud, planet, and so much more. God says He cares for the sparrows so doesn't that mean He cares for every little thing we tell Him? It does. He wants you to notice the beautiful things He created for you. He spent time not only creating you...

You're Called By God Not By Man

“God will make this happen, for he who calls you is faithful.” 1 Thessalonians‬ ‭5:24‬ ‭ How many times do we worry about other people's opinions of us rather than our own? See one of the best things about God is when He calls us He doesn't ask for anyone's approval or opinion on it, He calls who He wants and that's the end of it. We never have to worry about what anyone else says because God does not care what others have to say. The thing about it is when we get to Heaven's gates God is not going to ask what others thought of you, but He will ask you how you treated them. In today's world, we are taught to treat others the same way they are treating us, but the Bible does not say that. The Bible says, "Do to others as you would want them to do to you." Don't worry about pleasing them, what they have to say, if they're talking about you behind your back, or if they're really your friend. At the end of the day, all that matters is how you c...

Happiness Now Or Later?

“Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Ephesians‬ ‭6:11‬ ‭ I've asked myself the question many times, "Why is it that people living in sin are so happy?" As I prayed about this a lot, I felt God speak to me and tell me that He lets them have their earthly happiness for an eternity of sadness. Let's take it a step further than that. I watched a video recently it was of someone talking about the same subject, they went on to say that the reason people living in sin aren't attacked by the enemy as much as Christians are because the devil is no longer chasing their souls because he already has it. The thing about getting a genuine relationship with God is that we have to remember we will spiritually battle. We have every tool needed to conquer the battle, first, we should begin with prayer, the Bible teaches us to put on God's full armor and we will be able to stand firm against all the enemy's s...

Drawing Near To God, Begins Change.

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” Romans‬ ‭12:2‬ ‭ People always tend to judge us for being Christians and for the morals that we live by. If you're a new Christian or even an experienced Christian but don't quite understand why we have morals the way we do, then I will explain it to you. Once you grow close to God and your relationship begins to grow with Him your mentality changes. See when we are in the world we do get a gut feeling sometimes that we shouldn't do something, with having a true relationship with God we get that feeling a lot, it is called conviction. We feel convicted over things we know that we should not do. Sometimes conviction isn't even something we shouldn't do but sometimes is something we are putting above God in our lives. See it isn't so much that we shoul...

The Filled Void.

“So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.” Colossians‬ ‭2‬:‭10‬ ‭ So many times we try our hardest to fit in with everyone in this world and all their earthly desires. We think that if we can hang around popular people, join the right sports team, wear the best fashion, do makeup the best, and have the most attractive boyfriend or girlfriend, then the void in our hearts will be fulfilled. The truth is nothing in this world will satisfy our souls. The thing about it is that our souls are created by God, and the only person who could fully fill them up in Him. We waste so much time in our lives trying to fill our void with material things when we should just give our lives to Him in the first place. Today, I encourage you to stop letting the world try to fill a void that cannot be filled without God. Go to God and tell Him sincerely that you give your life, heart, and soul over to Him. Your soul was created to only be filled...

Who You Marry Matters To God.

“But if they can’t control themselves, they should go ahead and marry. It’s better to marry than to burn with lust.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭7:9‬ ‭ I have always loved the story of Ruth, as I was in the waiting period of my life I used to read it and it brought me hope to know that God made a way for her to find her husband and that He could do the same for me. As I began to read deep into the book of Ruth I came to realize that God knew she would end up with Boaz from the beginning. The story doesn't end with Ruth but only begins there. As Ruth and Boaz got married, they gave birth to a son named Obed, Obed later had a son named Jesse and Jesse was the father of David. See God knew that King David would come from Ruth's lineage. We think so many times that it doesn't matter who we marry as long as we are happy with it ourselves don't take me wrong I believe God does want us happy in our marriages but He does care who we marry. He cares about your lineage, and who you marry to ...

Be Loving And Kind.

“This is my command: Love each other.” John‬ ‭15‬:‭17‬ ‭ To love like Jesus doesn't just mean to love your neighbors, your friends, your family, or the people that are good to you. Loving like Jesus means to love the person that hurt you the very most, to love those that have betrayed you, to love the people that talk about you, and most of all to love everyone you meet no matter their lifestyle choices. You can't expect to become more like Jesus and not love others with the same love Jesus had. Jesus loved the sinners, those who betrayed Him, and even those who mocked Him. When Jesus was being hung on the cross He said, "Lord, forgive them for they do not know what they are doing." He chose to forgive those that were mocking and betraying Him the most. Next time someone hurts you be kind and remind yourself to do what Jesus would do in the position you are in. Be slow to speak and slow to get angry at others remembering the patience that God has had with you. Today, ...

A Lesson Or A Blessing.

“The generous will prosper; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.” Proverbs‬ ‭11:25‬ ‭ How many times have you met someone and thought that you just didn't match with them as a friend, relationship, or even just an acquaintance? Sometimes those people you feel as if you have no connection with are the ones God wants you around the very most. Those people could be the ones that God has sent to help you, be a friend, your future spouse, or even someone to lead you to your calling in God. We are so quick to judge a book by its cover before we even know someone, and that is how today's world is. We judge someone before we even see the fruits that they bare. We should learn to be slower to speak when meeting someone because we never know why we are meeting them or why God has placed them in our lives. Don't get me wrong not everyone we meet is someone meant to be in our lives. I learned a long time ago that people either come into your life as a lesson or a bles...

The Faith Of A Friend.

“Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.”” Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭5‬ ‭ So many times in life people will tell you that who you choose to surround yourself with and interact with is not important, but it is. This verse is a representation of how important it truly is. In this verse, we see that Jesus didn't heal the man because of his own faith, his family's faith, or even his good deeds. He was healed because of his friends' faith. It's important to have friends that pray over you, pray with you, and even pray for you when you don't ask them to. You need to be surrounded by people who uplift your Spirit not support your flesh. Your friend's faith might be the reason God answers your prayers, the question is how good is their faith? Will their faith be as big as a mustard seed? You have to make sure that the people you have around you are close to God to help your relationship with God grow also. I know Jesus was around sinners...

You Will Never Be Perfect.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭ So many times we expect perfection out of ourselves before anyone else can even expect perfection from us. We sometimes hurt ourselves by expecting something we just aren't able to do yet. We must remember that just because we expect ourselves to be perfect doesn't mean God expects that. God wants us to try our very best, and we should always do that. We shouldn't expect ourselves to never make mistakes because God doesn't even expect that from us, if He did then He wouldn't have sent His one and only Son to bring us true forgiveness. When you feel like you've failed God, you've run too far think of the story in the Bible where the son returns to his father, and the father was waiting with open arms for him. That is exactly how God sees us and waits for us. We are always able to return to God with any mistake we have made because His love will never fail us, He brough...

He Is Risen Indeed.

“Early on Sunday morning, as the new day was dawning, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went out to visit the tomb.” Matthew‬ ‭28‬:‭1‬ ‭ Sunday is here. Jesus rolled out of the tomb with marks on His hands and feet. He was free and alive, He had conquered sin and death. That same power that brought Jesus back to life and freed us all from sin lives in us every day when we have the Holy Spirit living in us. We are able to experience Jesus' freedom every day if only we will accept it. I know Easter Sunday is a happy day for everyone but this Easter was kind of emotional for me. I was reminded that Jesus didn't have to go through with dying on the cross, He chose to. He wanted to give us forgiveness, He wanted us to come to live in Heaven with Him. We are so undeserving of His love but His mercy still renews daily for us. When we feel as though we have failed Him that is where mercy steps in, the mercy that He gives us daily even after the pain that He went through on that cross. ...

Silent Saturday but Sunday Is Coming!

“For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime! Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes with the morning.” Psalms‬ ‭30‬:‭5‬ ‭ It's Saturday of Holy Week, and today it seems as though nothing is happening. All is silent as Jesus is in the grave. They saw Jesus was buried and all hope seem lost. The enemy thought he had finally won, that the true Savior was gone forever. If you're in a season of silence whether it is from someone you love, nothing good happening for you, God not answering you, or your prayers then know that your rejoicing moment is coming. Silent Saturday might have been your life for now but rejoicing Sunday is fixing to be here when your Savior arises and brings joy and hope once again. As we live in 2,022 AD (after death) we know that Sunday is bringing hope and joy, but those on that day 2,000 plus years ago they didn't know that. They were mourning the death of Jesus, they thought it was over. Sunday is coming, as we know ou...

God Wins Every time!

“And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love.” Romans‬ ‭8:38‬ ‭ Today is Friday of Holy Week, Today our Savior was crucified and beaten. He deserved nothing of what He got. At noon the entire place went dark, as though it was nighttime until about 3pm. All went dark, Mary's heart was broken, the veil was torn, and the enemy thought he had won. How often does life go dark and the enemy makes you think he won, makes you believe that you are too late to chase your dreams, your best times are behind you, joy cannot be found again, that relationship you want isn't out there or even that there isn't light at the end of the tunnel you're in. See the enemy hits us at our weak spots. He tries to bring us down where he knows we are able to fall into believing what he says. Just like Jesu...

Go Alone To Pray!

““Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”” Luke‬ ‭22‬:‭42‬ ‭ Today of Holy Week Jesus and the disciples had the last supper. After they ate Jesus went over to the Mount of Olives to be alone and pray. He prayed that if it were possible that He didn't have to go through what He knew was to come. How many times in life do we stop before we make a big decision and pray for God's will and not our own? Often times we don't, even including myself. We think that by our own power, we know what is best for us but in reality, we really don't know what is best for us. See Jesus knew His calling but He also felt what any human would feel in His place, He was dreading what He had to do. How many times do we dread doing what God wants us to do? I know many days I have been tired and sleepy and didn't want to write a blog but I knew that I needed to. So many times the enemy uses our emotions and feelin...

The Enemy Used Judas, He Can Use You Too!

“It was time for supper, and the devil had already prompted Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, to betray Jesus.” ‭John‬ ‭13‬:‭2‬ ‭ Today is Wednesday of Holy Week, meaning this is the day of the week that Judas betrayed Jesus. Can you imagine getting paid around $250 in US dollars to sell the One who came to redeem you for all the mistakes you made? Judas did just that. Think about it, in today's world we can't even buy a smartphone for $250, we could buy a week's groceries for a family if that. That isn't enough to give our Savior away. How many times do we put God on the back burner to watch tv, play video games, read a book, talk to our friends, or even play on our phones? That is the same thing Judas did just in a different sense. See Judas chose to let the enemy control Him. The Bible clearly tells us that the devil used Judas. We think so many times in life that we are close with God because we are surrounding ourselves with the right people, but look at Judas, h...

Why Betray The One Who Created You?

“you can be sure that whoever brings the sinner back from wandering will save that person from death and bring about the forgiveness of many sins.” James‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭ Today is Tuesday of Holy Week, on this day Jesus announced that one of His twelve disciples was going to betray Him and one would deny Him three times. Imagine having twelve people go with you everywhere to spread the gospel, not only did the disciples do just that with Jesus they also watched Him perform miracles in front of them. Jesus knew at this point Judas would betray Him, He even called it out. Although Jesus never said to Judas He knew it was Him Jesus made it clear. If Jesus called out every time we were about to betray or disappoint Him imagine how embarrassing that would be. Have you ever thought of how He feels when we choose to betray Him? He spent so much time creating us and loves us enough to give us free will, He puts all of his time into listening to us, forgiving and helping us how could we not want to li...

Be Angry, But Don't Sin!

“And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry,” Ephesians‬ ‭4‬:‭26 ‬ ‭Have you ever been angry? I know I have over things that happen in life. Getting angry over things is just a part of life. Today is the second day of the Holy Week, today marks the day that Jesus walked into the temple and realized they were selling things out of it and He became angry and flipped the tables. See the Bible says "Be angry but do not sin." Even Jesus got angry as we see through these scriptures, and that is just how life is, but He did not ever sin, He was perfect. We are able to become angry over things because that is our emotions, and emotions are something we can't stop, but we have to choose to not sin although we are angry because that is in our control. The verse also says "do not let the sun go down while you are still angry", as in we should never go to bed angry. God has so many rules with anger because it is one of ...

Hosanna In The Highest.

“Bless the one who comes in the name of the Lord. We bless you from the house of the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭118‬:‭26‬ ‭ Today Palm Sunday begins the Holy Week. I listen to Christian music on shuffle a lot while cleaning, in the car, writing a blog, or doing anything else I do during the day. In the last few days, I have hit shuffle in the first few songs the song "Hosanna" came on. I absolutely love the song, it's always been calming to me but it was strange how often it kept coming on. As I opened my Bible to a random page today I opened up to Psalms 118:26, the verse this blog is written about. I was reminded of what today is all about. When Jesus fulfilled the prophecy and all the people gathered and shouted, "Hosanna" I still don't fully understand what all God is showing me with this, but I do know that today is the celebration of the week that changed everything for all of us. Jesus began His journey, and He began to fulfill the prophecies, He knew what was t...

Jesus Felt Everything That We Feel.

““Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine.”” Luke‬ ‭22:42‬ ‭ Being human means we all are going to feel emotions, that is just a part of life, what we have to remember though is Jesus understands our emotions. If you think that Jesus didn't have emotions, you're wrong. When Jesus was on the Mount of Olives He said, "Father, if you are willing, please take this cup of suffering away from me. Yet I want your will to be done, not mine."  He had fear of what was to come, but He also knew that what was going to happen next was to save all people now and to come. Whatever you're facing, pray the same prayer that Jesus did, and He will most definitely make a way through it. Your emotions are important to Him because if anyone understands them He does. He felt sadness, the shortest verse in the Bible is, "Jesus wept." This means He also cried, had fear, had worries, He was tested by th...

Read Until You Grow!

“He must always keep that copy with him and read it daily as long as he lives. That way he will learn to fear the Lord his God by obeying all the terms of these instructions and decrees.”‭‭ Deuteronomy‬ ‭17:19‬ ‭ I used to think I could spiritually grow by listening to Christian music, attending church, and praying frequently. Don't get me wrong those things do help but if you aren't reading the Word it will only do a little. It's like building a house with no foundation, you won't get very far. You have to have the foundation of reading the Word. See if we are constantly reading the Bible but never let it change us then what good is it doing? It's like saying you're eating more healthy while eating unhealthy food, just because you say it and see it doesn't make it do the good it is intended to do. You can't keep asking God why He feels so far away when you've not taken the time to understand Him by His word. You will never understand God fully, but ...
