All That You Are Called To Be!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ You have got what it takes to become all that God has called you to be! Nothing you have done has changed the fact that you are called by God! You have a purpose and you are going to help save souls if you choose to do so. We each go through times where we are tempted, we can choose to withstand that and still press forward to our purpose. We all make mistakes and the Bible says that we all fall short of God's glory, you did not ruin God's plan for your life but if you continue to run from Him all of your life He cannot do the work in you, and through you if you don't let Him. God gave us free will to do what we want in life, but choosing to follow our sinful nature doesn't lead us to be the person He has called us to be. God called you for a reason, it is your choice if you want to follow that. He could use you in ways you...

The Past Is Over.

“No, dear brothers and sisters, I have not achieved it, but I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead,” Philippians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭ We cannot spend our entire lives looking over our shoulders at our past. When we come to God, ask for His forgiveness, and find a true relationship with God that is when we no longer held to the person we once were. We are then born again through Jesus Christ. You must stop spending so much time looking in the rearview mirror and focus more on what lies ahead. Your life is in front of you, and it's the choices you make now in this moment that matter the most. Your choices and mistakes you have made in the past are something that you have to give all of it to God and move on from it. Today, focus on what is now and let go of your past. The joy is now, the hope is now, the freedom from the past is now! Here are some verses to reflect on today. ““But forget all that— it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.” I...

His Promise Still Stands!

“The Lord kept his word and did for Sarah exactly what he had promised.” Genesis‬ ‭21:1‬ ‭ Abraham and Sarah wanted a child, God spoke to them and made a promise He would give them one. They grew weary in the waiting period, and they decided it would be best for Abraham to have a child with Sarah's servant. She had a son and they named him Ishmael. Later on, God blessed Abraham and Issac with the promised child and they named him Isaac. Although God had made a promise to them they took things into their own hands and decided to make their own way for it to happen. Ishmael was still blessed, but Isaac was the child that God had promised them. How many times in each of our lives do we grow weary waiting on the promises that God has given us and we take things into our own control and create it ourselves. When we do that it does not create the promise from God it becomes something we created ourselves. If you have a promise from God know that God will give you that promise, He doesn...

Daily Relationship!

“And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.” Ephesians‬ ‭3:18‬ ‭ Being consistent in a relationship with God is far better than being perfect. God never expected perfection out of any human being to ever live, because the only perfect human to ever live is Jesus. When you feel like all that you do isn't enough in your relationship with God know that it is really more than enough. He doesn't expect perfection from you, He just wants your time. Start your morning off with prayer and devotion, and before bed end your night reading your word and praying. Today, focus on the consistency you have in your relationship with God and stick to spending time with Him instead of focusing on trying to be the perfect person, Christian, friend, child, etc. You aren't expected to be perfect, you're expected to be consistent. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Then he said to the crowd, “If any of ...

The Best Version Of Yourself.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ We always tell ourselves that becoming our full potential of what God has called us to be is important because we deserve to be that. The reality is that it isn't so much about us and it is great for us, but in reality, it's more about the world and the people we can help save. The people we are meant to become isn't all about us, it's about how we can choose to set examples to others of what they can become through Christ. We should use the best versions of ourselves to show others how God can transform anyone into a good person. Instead of pushing towards your best self for all the wrong reasons, push towards your best self so everyone can see how God can take anyone and make them new again. We cannot fix things that break sometimes, but we are the clay in the Potter's hands and He can fix us! Here are some verses to ...

The Next Door.

““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Matthew‬ ‭7:7‬ ‭ God is about to do things for you that you never even thought was possible, He is going to go above and beyond for you. When a door closes in your life rejoice, that just means a better door will soon open. God never takes something away from you without giving you better or double what you have before. We as humans spend so much time worrying about what we lose, but we should focus on what God has next. Sometimes God does things that we might not understand, but you can count on it that it was for a reason. He sometimes takes things away because we latch on to things that were meant for a season, not a lifetime. Today, if you feel like all you've ever experienced is loss, know that when this next door opens in your life everything you have ever faced in your life will all make sense. God is opening a door so big and so...

Let Go Of The Baggage.

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Romans‬ ‭5:8‬ ‭ Forget the past it's already forgiven. When we continue to carry the burden of our sins and mistakes after we have already been covered by Jesus who paid the debt, we make it out like we are more worthy to carry the burden than what His payment covered. God didn't pay the debt for your sins, carry the cross for you to not be free. Jesus paid the price we couldn't pay to be free from the wages of sin that led to eternal hell. Today, be sure you are laying the baggage of all your sins and mistakes at the cross where His unconditional love poured out so that you could be free and live in heaven with Him someday. The price He paid for your freedom from sin and death was something you couldn't do for yourself, but He has done it for you and loved you enough to do it. Jesus paid the price for you, so let go of all that you thought you should carry. Here are some...

The Perfect Person.

“For husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her” Ephesians‬ ‭5:25‬ ‭ We all dream of our wedding day with the perfect person for us. We spend so much time thinking that our wedding is the end goal, but that is far from the truth. The goal is to be in the perfect will of God, with the perfect person that He has hand-picked for you. Today's world teaches us that being alone and single is a bad thing, but in reality, it's a beautiful season to learn and grow. In the years I was single instead of using it to search for a relationship I used those years to be happy with where I was, grow in my relationship with God, and realize the qualities I needed in a man. If you're in the season of waiting use it to grow your relationship with God. The reason you are having to wait might not even be about you having to grow more, maybe it's more about the person you're waiting for who needs more time. You are designed for a per...

Right People!

“There are “friends” who destroy each other, but a real friend sticks closer than a brother.” Proverbs‬ ‭18:24‬ ‭ You will never have to chase what God sends into your life and that's how you'll know it's from Him. God doesn't expect us to chase what we are meant to have, He will give us what we need and more. God sends you the people you need, not those you must constantly chase after. God has people designed for you and your calling that will support you. God will send you loving, loyal, and kind people in your life.  If you ever think that God doesn't have perfect people designed for you, think of the best people you know who are placed in your life or have been in the past, and notice how they have everything you need in your life at the perfect times. Today, be grateful for the great people in your life, and know that God is sending even greater people into your life to love and support you in all the things that God has called you to do. Continue in your calli...

What God Says.

“Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.” ‭‭Philippians‬ ‭2:3‬ ‭ The world will tell you to do them how they do you, but the Bible says to forgive seventy times seven and to treat others the way that you want to be treated. The world will always teach you the opposite of God's word. If you ever wonder what advice you should take see if it will align with the Bible. The world wants you to follow your sinful desires, to be hateful, to judge others, and to be the opposite of what God has called you to be. The Bible tells you to be strong, not follow your sinful desires and flee from temptation, to be kind, to not judge and love others, and to be everything that God has called you to be. Today, remind yourself to not listen to what the world tells you, and not always take people's advice. See if the advice from the world and others aligns with what God has told you to do, that is what matters. Here are some verses to r...

The Battle Belongs To God!

“The Lord himself will fight for you. Just stay calm.”‭‭Exodus‬ ‭14:14‬ ‭ Being silent during a battle is difficult. I used to want to scream at the enemy when I was going through a spiritual battle. God will fight the battles for us if we only trust Him. When writing about this the story of David and Goliath came to me. David only had a stone and a slingshot, and Goliath was a giant. God won that battle through David. Never doubt what God can do when you are in a battle. Think about this, when you're trying to do something you don't need someone else to do exactly what you're doing, you need them to do what you can't do. God doesn't need us to do His job of winning the battle for Him, He needs us to be like David a stand-in, and let Him work through us. Today, teach yourself to do what you can and leave the rest up to God. He knows what we are capable of and what part He can do for us. Showing your faith in God is frequently by doing your part in what you can do. H...

Keep On Waiting And Praying.

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ Someday you will look back at everything you have been patient about and waited for and say, "It was worth the wait." I remember a time in my life when I was waiting for something. It didn't come to pass how or when I expected but I looked at the situation and knew that it could only be through God that it did happen. I was so thankful that I chose to wait on His timing because He did not only give me what I had originally prayed for but He gave me even more than what I asked for in the first place. We frequently think that waiting on something means it isn't coming entirely. As I was writing this God opened my spiritual vision and I immediately thought of how if we spent every day from Christmas waiting for the next year's Christmas it would seem like so much longer than what it reall...

Before You Ask Him!

“Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!” Matthew‬ ‭6:8‬ ‭ One little prayer can change a whole lot of a situation. There are times in my life when I think of things and don't even pray and God answers. I think back on the verses where God knows our thoughts. If God knows our thoughts then He knows those prayers that we don't yet pray but the things we need. God knows the prayers of your heart, and He doesn't always need us to speak them. He appreciates when we do but He also understands our thoughts in the meantime. God created our minds so therefore He is the one person other than each of us that understands our own minds. He knows the things you need before you even ask what the Bible says. Today, if you have a prayer but don't know how to pray it to God then let God know your thoughts. He understands what you need before you even ask Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “How precious are your thoughts about ...

All Eyes On Him!

“But when he saw the strong wind and the waves, he was terrified and began to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he shouted.” Matthew‬ ‭14:30‬ ‭ If you want to get rid of worry then start building your faith. To build your faith you have to feed your Spirit. When we feed our Spirits our faith grows, and even the smallest amount of faith can move a mountain Who is to say that a small amount of faith cannot stop your worry. Start feeding your faith by reading your Bible, praying, and spending quality time with God. Think of the story of Jesus walking on water and Peter meets Him, he only began to sink when he took his eyes off Jesus. When you take your eyes and faith off of Him, worry begins to make you sink. Today, make sure your eyes are on Jesus and your faith is growing strong. If your eyes are on Him then your worry will fade, don't take your eyes off Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed him. “You have so little faith,” Jesus said. “Why d...

The No’s.

“And God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭9:8‬ ‭ Sometimes the "no's" are actually protection. I have questioned why things haven't happened so many times in my life and why the answer was always no, but later on, when I look back on those times I realize that it was more of God's protection. God's no is often because reason one isn't for you at all, reason two isn't for you now, and reason three is that God has something better for you. God doesn't give us things we want, He waits and gives us what we need. If God says no don't be upset, it is His protection. God has something more than just waiting for you, don't give up while you're waiting for what is next, it will be better than what you could ever imagine in your mind. Today, know that your waiting is not for nothing, something greater is ahead and God's no is only pr...

Stand Up For God!

““If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.” John‬ ‭15:18‬ ‭ Have you ever noticed that Christianity is one of the most mocked and hated religions? The world accepts it although if it were other religions everyone would stand with them and take up for them. I've thought about how Christians are automatically judged for what they think we are. One of the key things in being a Christian is to love and treat others the way that we would want to be treated. We do that and although we try our best to be so kind and loving towards everyone they still choose to look past it and mock our God! The Bible says that when the world hates you remind yourself that it hated Him first. Today, if you are mocked for being a Christian remind yourself of how Jesus was mocked, beaten, betrayed, and even killed but you know what He said? "Father forgive them because they do not know what they are doing." Even when His heart was broken by the way they treated Him, He still chose l...

By Your Side, Always.

“No one will be able to stand against you as long as you live. For I will be with you as I was with Moses. I will not fail you or abandon you.” Joshua‬ ‭1:5‬ ‭ I love the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego it shows that no matter what we go through God doesn't run from our circumstances instead He sticks by us and goes through everything in life with us. We all have been stirred about the end of times, and it's all something we aren't super excited about with the trials and tribulations we know are coming with it, but it's something that we need to understand that we won't go through alone. If God stood in the middle of a burning furnace, what makes you think when all these things come that He will leave you? He won't. Today, no matter what you're facing whether it is life's problems, fear of the end times, or anything else in life know that God will be the fourth in all the fire with you, He won't leave you, and will never forsake you. You are...

God Knows Best.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ God will reveal certain things to you for a reason, but you have to be willing to accept that reason. God doesn't just tell you what you want to hear, He tells you what He thinks. When we ask God for a sign we often have an expectation of what we want to hear and what we think is right, but that doesn't mean that God agrees with what we think is best. You might have things that you think are right for you, people you think are right for you, and even places that you think are right for you but God knows what is ultimately right for you. He sees things you don't see and hears conversations that you don't hear. The next time you ask God for a sign and it isn't what you wanted to hear take it as it comes, because God knows best. Today, make sure that you take God's word, signs, and the things He reveals to you a...

Hope In The Lord!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Never let yourself lose hope in God. When everything else fails God never will. God is the one person on this earth who always has your best interest in mind. He is the one who will look out for you when no one else does. God doesn't give us everything we want because He gives us everything we need. Everything in life is from God and our hope comes from Him alone. When we try to take things into our own hands, we lose hope, because we cannot possibly have the power to do everything God does. Know that all things will work together if you trust in God and have hope in Him, know that not everything can be done through yourself and sometimes faith is what it takes to happen. “And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.” ...

Don't Limit God!

““My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine.” Isaiah‬ ‭55:8‬ ‭ Do not limit God to what you think. There is no possible way that we can ever think or comprehend what God does or thinks. He created the world in seven days by His voice, we use our hands to create things and there is no way we could do that. So many times we put a limit on what God can and cannot do, we shorten the blessing for ourselves when we do that because we doubt what He can do. The Bible says that our thoughts are not His thoughts, He thinks beyond what we could ever comprehend. When you're praying for something stop limiting what God can do, He is literally the God of the impossible! He works in ways we cannot understand and ways that we don't even see. That is why when God does something for you, you will realize there are no limits on what He is capable of. Today, don't limit God, know that He is more than able and will work al...

Glory To God!

“So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:31‬ ‭ Things happen frequently that there is no logical explanation for, and the way we need to look at that is it is God. God does things in ways that there is no way to explain it so we know Him does it and we cannot blame it on human things. The Bible says that what is impossible for men is possible with God, whatever it is you're praying for that seems to be impossible know that God can and will do it for you! If something is amazing that has happened and there is no reality of how it could have happened shout to the world that God did it. When things happen and we give God the glory it shows that we are grateful for His blessings and trustworthy to be blessed. God will not constantly bless someone who lets the world believe that it is within themselves. I've learned to replace the saying, "I'm proud of myself" with "I'm grateful God did this for me....

Good Things Come From Above.

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ If we want what comes from God all the good things, the blessings, the peace, and the joy we want to have. The world wants all these things but doesn't want God to be a part of it. The Bible says that every good and perfect gift comes above. You cannot have good things in life without including God in it, because it does not exist without Him. God is not the author of confusion, which means when He blesses us it will not be "Is this from God?" It will be more of "God has given me this no doubt." There is no good thing if you do not include God in it. God is the reason you are blessed with all that you have. Today, make sure that when you're asking God for things, you're including the glory all to Him. God is the reason you have good and perfect gifts. Here are some verses to...

The End Is Yet To Come!

“And you will hear of wars and threats of wars, but don’t panic. Yes, these things must take place, but the end won’t follow immediately.” Mark‬ ‭13:7‬ ‭ Israel is at war, and before I wrote about it, I wanted to pray about it. Today, as I was thinking about it, I remembered this verse. We are so quick to take things like this and assume that Jesus is coming back immediately, which is what my social media is filled with. I then read this verse and knew what God meant when He spoke for it to be written. He didn't mean that these things wouldn't happen, He meant when they do to not be alarmed and know that the end is near but yet some more things have to happen. Use this as an encouragement to help others find Christ while it is still time. The Bible let us know the signs we should expect when the end is near, and one of the signs was wars and rumors of wars. Today, take this as your sign to get your own life in line with God and His plan for you. Start today encouraging others a...

Be Bold!

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭ Choose to follow God even when the crowd you're around is not. You should be open about God and your beliefs no matter who is around. Jesus chose to eat with sinners, but He still showed who He was, and did not sin with them. He never shape-shifted around others to become like them or to hide who He was and what He believed. He was open and let them know who and what He believed. He was not ashamed and you shouldn't be either. Think about it this way, if Jesus had been ashamed of you on the cross dying for your sins. You wouldn't be forgiven if Jesus had done that. You have to be so fired up, and so excited for God that you tell everyone you're around and that you meet. Today, be so excited about God that you tell every one of your faith and encourage them to know who Jesus really is. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “But God had mercy on me so that Christ Jesus could use ...

Things You Are Praying For.

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” John‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭ You must remember that the things you are praying for now will eventually become reality. The things you're praying for now will one day be things that you tell everyone that God answered and opened up for you. Things you're waiting on will eventually become what you're most thankful for. Nothing that you ask God for goes unnoticed by Him, He might not answer your prayer in the way or time that you want. The Bible tells us to ask and God will answer if it is His will. That tells us that the things are not meant for us He will not answer, but if it is He will do it for us. That gives us hope knowing that God only does things according to His will and His plan not our own. Whatever you're praying for at this moment know that if it is a part of God's plan for you then God will answer it, but if not t...

Makes It Beautiful.

““O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are you in my hand.” Jeremiah‬ ‭18:6‬ ‭ Satan loves to take what's beautiful and ruin it. When the enemy is fighting you know that there is something in you he is either afraid of or is jealous of. Think about it this way, a thief wouldn't rob an empty house, so if the enemy is fighting you there is something valuable and beautiful inside you. The good thing about God is He doesn't look at where the enemy ruined you and try to run away or say you're too far gone. God loves to take the broken and ruined things and make them beautiful again. Remind yourself that He is the potter and you are the clay. Nothing the enemy does cannot be fixed by God. He is the author of Fixing and Rebuilding Us. He created us so fixing what He knows we are is easy. Today, be transparent with God, show Him your broken pieces, and let Him fix them. God is more than able and He is waiting...

Waiting Season.

“Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.” Psalms‬ ‭27:14‬  ‭If you knew what God was sending then you wouldn't worry during the waiting season. If you plant a seed you know what is going to grow, but if you're in the waiting know that there is a purpose. You have a purpose and lesson even in the waiting. Learn to trust God even when it's quiet and looks like nothing is coming. God is still in control, there is no reason to worry, God didn't forget you in this season of waiting. You will still get all the things you are praying for, God doesn't get tired of you asking for that breakthrough, healing, financial help, or anything else, He wants you to ask. Today, be hopeful! This season of waiting is for a purpose and it was not a waste of your time. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope....

Pain Into Joy!

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy.”James‬ ‭1:2‬ ‭ The pain, trials, and all the things you're dealing with will soon turn into joy! The trials of today will be your strength tomorrow. God doesn't send us out into hardships for us to stay in them. God does let us face trials because oftentimes times it shows where our hearts and souls are set on. When we go through life's trials we often times learn that what we are going through is something we have to learn from and grow from. If you've been in a season of drought, pain, anger, frustration, brokenness or anything else know that what God has for you next will be so much better than what you faced. God has a plan for your pain to turn into joy. Today, remember that the first miracle Jesus did was turn the water into wine, what makes you think He can't turn your pain into joy? God can do it and He will! Here are some verses to reflect on today...

You Are Worth So Much!

“Who can find a virtuous and capable wife? She is more precious than rubies.” Proverbs‬ ‭31:10‬ ‭ When you find yourself in a place of feeling worthless, remind yourself what the Bible says that you are! You are more precious than rubies, and men don't think you aren't enough either, you are worth more than rubies. God doesn't look at you and think you are worthless, too much of a mess, or too broken. God looks at you and sees forgiveness, hope, and someone who He loves more than anything could explain. Stop letting the enemy make you believe what he thinks is true but you know that isn't. You know your worth if only you let yourself find it in God and not things of this world, or in this world. Today, remind yourself that you are worth far more than rubies because that is what your Heavenly Father thinks of you. What God says you're worth is more important than what anyone else ever has to say you are worth! Here are some verses to relfect on today! “Wisdom is more...

You Will Be Prepared!

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” Ephesians‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ God doesn't call those who are prepared, He prepares those who are called. Think of Daniel in the lion's den, he wasn't prepared to be fed to the lions, but when he was he still trusted God. He knew that God would prepare him when he needed to. He knows the perfect time for you to be prepared. He will prepare you for the perfect moment. Think of Esther, I don't personally think that she felt she was ready to become a queen, but God gave her the confidence and prepared her for what she was meant to do. Today, whatever it is you need to do know that God did not call you because He thinks you are prepared, He will prepare you when it is needed! You will be prepared when the time comes for the door to open and you will be able to walk into it with full confidence. Here are some verses to reflect on today.  “All Scripture is ins...

What A Real Christian Is.

“Then, calling the crowd to join his disciples, he said, “If any of you wants to be my follower, you must give up your own way, take up your cross, and follow me.” Mark‬ ‭8:34‬ ‭ Going to church on Sundays doesn't make you a Christian, a walk with God daily does. The Bible says that we should pick up our cross daily to follow Him. If God intended for us to only pray, listen to the Bible, and read it on Sunday then He would have said, "Pick up your cross weekly." But He didn't say that He instead said daily. Joyce Meyer has a quote that says, "Just because you go to church doesn't mean you're a Christian. I can sit in a garage all day and that doesn't make me a car." I loved it when I read it because it's so true. Sitting in a building doesn't make you a Christian, but talking to God daily does, reading your Bible to learn all about Him and how you should live your life, and most of all knowing the only way you can be saved is through Jesu...
