God's Plan Over Your Plan!

“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah‬ ‭29:11‬ ‭ Your plans are so small compared to God's plans. When you learn to let go of what you want and let God give you His plans you will be so much happier. We often have a plan in our minds so much that we force that to be God's will. That isn't how it should be. We cannot see things that God can see, and He knows the things that will make us the happiness. It's like this we each have been in relationships that we thought would last forever, and at the time we thought we were the happiest we would ever be. That is not the truth of it though. We often see only a short amount of the future and soon realize it isn't meant for us. We have to think of every aspect of life that way, right now we may think something would be the best for us but maybe God has something better. Today, ask God to show you His plans for your life...

Your Past, Is Just That!

“Yes, what joy for those whose record the Lord has cleared of sin.”” Romans‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ Your past is what is behind you, it is who you were not who you are now, or where you are headed to. We so often have more guilt and blame ourselves more than God does. We carry around a baggage that wasn't meant to be carried. We think that the mistakes we have made define us. I am here to tell you today that is a lie from the enemy. Nothing you have ever done defines who you are! Jesus came down to earth, sacrificed His life so that we are free from sin and have a heavenly home someday. We aren't bound to anything. We are free! Your past is behind you, it has nothing to do with your future other than a lesson learned. Today, know that you are free. When I say walk in freedom today I mean walk in life knowing you are forgiven and the baggage is no longer yours. God threw your sins in the ocean and never looked back at them, so neither should you! If God had forgiven you then forgive yourself! ...

God's Children Always Win!

“For every child of God defeats this evil world, and we achieve this victory through our faith.” 1 John‬ ‭5:4‬ ‭ When you put God first you will never be last. There is one thing you can count on, that is if God is on your side you will win every time. God never lets His people down. He takes care of His children. When you are in doubt, stressed, lonely, broken, or anything else know that God is on your side and will turn things around. We each face different battles, but as children of God we are destined to win every time. We win every battle, even when we think we lost. Sometimes winning looks like losing, but God has every battle won. He knows what is best for you, if you give your life to Him, then He will always have the best ready for you to have. Today, trust God to give you the best things in life. God will always put you first if you're putting Him first. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “To all who are victorious, who obey me to the very end, To them I will give...

Include God In Everything!

“And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your strength.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭6:5‬ ‭ Are you including God in everything that you do? We are so quick to make small things in life a bigger priority than God. That is so wrong of us, as God is more important than anything else. There is a verse in the Bible that I think of a good bit, it says that we must love the Lord with all of our heart, soul and all our strength. That means in everything that we do we should have the love of God in mind. Loving God is including Him. We don't leave people out that we love, we include them. Today, include God in every part of your day not just the big things. God wants to be apart of our lives but we have to accept Him in it. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Jesus replied, “‘You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’” Matthew‬ ‭22:37‬ ‭ “And you must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all...

Do Not Judge Others!

““Do not judge others, and you will not be judged.”Matthew‬ ‭7:1‬ ‭ Why should we think that we can judge someone when we are imperfect ourselves? We aren't perfect so when we judge others we are being hypocritical. Jesus is the only one who could have ever judged anyone as He never sinned and was perfect. There was a moment in the stories of Jesus while He walked the earth. He came upon a crowd that was trying to stone a woman for adultery. Jesus stopped them and told them, "You that have not sinned throw the first stone." No one threw a stone. As Jesus approached the woman to talk to her He could have chosen to judge her right then, He could have lectured her and told her how wrong her actions were. Instead, Jesus told her, you are forgiven. The thing is that we are quick to judge and we don't have a right, Jesus has every right to judge us for all the things we have done but if we humbly go to Him asking forgiveness He will freely give it. Today, stop judging other...

You're Not Alone!

“Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.”James‬ ‭4:8‬ ‭ Have you ever noticed that the closer you get to God the less the people you used to surround yourself with come around? It's just apart of it, as we grow closer to God we become isolated in a way, to where we are no longer stuck in the same places that once tempted us. If we hangout with everyone from our past when we once lives in sin we would end up right back where we were. Although Jesus sat and ate with sinners, He never sinned with them. If we put ourselves in a place to be tempted are we sure we have enough self control? We cannot expect to live in sin and yet grow closer to God. Growing closer to God is realizing things that make us feel convicted and letting those things go. Today, know that if you're feeling alone that it might be a good thing. It could be a sign that you're walking into the ne...

Don't Want What Others Have.

“May he grant your heart’s desires and make all your plans succeed.” Psalms‬ ‭20:4‬  Desiring what someone else has is irrelevant. We can want the things and blessings others have but we never know what they have gone through or how hard they have prayed for what they have. When we want to be blessed we have to begin praying for it. God will bless us but it is a sin to want what another person has. The Bible teaches us that we should learn to be content in every circumstance and sometimes that means being around people that have more than us. Money and material things do not bring happiness, only God does. Today, if you desire something ask God to bless you, but don't want what others have. Only want what God has for you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Live in harmony with each other. Don’t be too proud to enjoy the company of ordinary people. And don’t think you know it all!”‭‭Romans‬ ‭12:16‬ ‭ “Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of othe...

Don't Be Speechless!

“And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.” Mark‬ ‭16:15‬ ‭ Why is it that we become speechless, ashamed and quiet when it comes to speaking about God? We are open about all things in our life expect God. We cannot expect to be open about small things in life and quiet about God. We are here to be a light shining for Jesus, and how can we do that when we're too ashamed to speak about Him? We have to be open to everyone about Jesus. We need to speak about Him, and all the things He's done for us every chance we get. Today, when you find yourself in conversations with others, bring God up. Tell them about Him and the things He has done for you and in your life. Who knows, you could be the person God sent to find that lost soul. God can use anyone and that begins with you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “Now all glory to God, who is able to make you strong, just as my Good News says. This message about Jesus Christ has revealed ...

Not Lucky, Just Blessed!

“Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.”James‬ ‭1:17‬ ‭ Nothing we have in life is by luck, it's all by being blessed. What we have is all from God. The Bible teaches us that all good and perfect gifts come from above, there is no room for luck. I have tried to learn to say, "I am blessed", instead of "I am so lucky", because nothing I have is by luck. Everything that I have is from God. When God opens a door for us it's so disrespectful for us to calm that luck gave us that, when it's nothing but a blessing from God. How would you feel if you gave a gift to someone and they went around telling everyone that they bought it for themselves? It would be hurtful. I assume that's how God feels when we leave Him out after receiving a blessing. Today, change your vocabulary and tell everyone how blessed you are. Make sure to give Go...

All The Glory To God!

We know that all the glory belongs to God. When something great happens the first thing we should do is praise God, thanking Him and telling everyone that only God could have done it. I have realized in my life that nothing I have is not from God. Down to every detail God had planned for my life it all has worked for my good and that is nothing expect God's grace. We have to come to realize that only God can give us the things our heart desires. We are all that we are because of God, and He is the only one that should ever receive the glory. We are not self made, we are God made. Everything we have, everything that we do, everything we accomplish, every good thing that we receive is all from God. Today, give God all the glory. He is the one who deserves the praise. God will bless you with more if you're faithful with a little. Here are some verses to reflect on today.

Faith Is So Important!

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭ Faith is so important as it is the foundation of a relationship with God. We cannot ever please God without faith. When we are truly seeking after God and His will for our lives we come to realize that sometimes we won't understand the whole plan, but we have to trust that God does. We might go through things that we don't understand but we can count on the fact that it has a purpose for our lives. God often sends us through situations blindly, and I feel that in those moments that is where our faith is tested one the most in of our lives. It teaches us that we don't need to know the details as long as we are trusting the One whom has created us. Today, have faith so deep that you don't have to know the future, because you know Who holds your future. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s com...

Joy From The Lord!

“You haven’t done this before. Ask, using my name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy.” ‭‭John‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭ So many times in life people will tell you that money can buy happiness, but it can't. Happiness is only found in God. No matter how nice of a car, or house, good of job, or great of a relationship you're in the happiness won't last forever. This world was never meant to fulfill our lives, only God can do that. Our happiness comes from God and that is something that is not easily taken away. God gives us joy in Him. Today, go to God and find the joy of the Lord. The world is not going to fulfill any of the things you're searching for. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people.” Luke‬ ‭2:10‬ ‭ “I have told you these things so that you will be filled with my joy. Yes, your joy will overflow!” John‬ ‭15:11‬ ‭ “Always be full of joy...

God Is Faithful!

“So God has given both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.” Hebrews‬ ‭6:18‬ ‭ Great is His faithfulness. We tend to see that often humans disappoint us as we expect more out of them, although at times they intend to do more they sometimes find themselves not able to accomplish what they and we had hoped for. We have to realize that just because humans sometimes fail us doesn't mean that God ever will. God cannot lie the Bible says, so when God tells us something He means it. When He makes a promise you can write it down, because God will make sure it is accomplished. God never fails us, never leaves us, never lives and will never fail us. God is faithful even in the moments that we aren't faithful. God will make a way for you, and His promise will stand. Today, trust that God will never fail you, Hi...

Talk By Faith.

“Some people make cutting remarks, but the words of the wise bring healing.” Proverbs‬ ‭12:18‬ ‭ God heard your prayers, now it's time to speak that they are near. We are so quick to speak negatively in our lives, but we should always speak life. What you speak is what comes to pass, the Bible says there is power in the tongue. We need to speak that we are free, healed, chosen, forgiven, loved and a Child of God. What you say is what you get in life, we have to be very careful to not let the enemy use us to speak bad things over our lives. We have to speak that great things are happening, and will continue to happen. My personal view is that when we speak good things it shows that we have faith in God to do those things for us. Why would we choose to speak bad into our lives instead of using our tongues for the good. Today, speak joy, hope, peace, freedom, forgiveness, love, hope, mercy, healing, prosperity, blessings, strength and all good things into our lives and watch God open ...

God Knows Your Needs.

“for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that time what needs to be said.”” ‭‭Luke‬ ‭12:12‬ ‭ Last night I had a dream, it was a dream that stuck with me all day. It had someone I am very close to in it, so I decided to tell them about it as I felt it meant something. I decided to wait until tonight to talk to them about it. I went to them and told them my dream, they let me know that tonight at church they had prayed for a sign, and me to come to them and give it to them. Although the dream came first it showed me that God often knows our needs before we know them ourselves. God will use someone to show you what you need to know. Today, know that God will supply all of your needs, He is an on time God all the time. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs.” Matthew‬ ‭6:32‬ ‭ “And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been...

God Is In Control.

“When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Silence! Be still!” Suddenly the wind stopped, and there was a great calm.” ‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:39‬ ‭ As severe storms and clouds with rotation went across my area today I found myself more calm than usual. I realized what was different was I had prayed. Although anyone would panic over the meteorologist saying there are tornados in your area, I knew in my heart and mind that no matter what happened today God was going to protect me. I had prayed over my animals, home, family and myself. God heard those prayers and I knew that by the peace I felt. I knew the storms were bad, but I knew my God was more than able to do anything, He was in control. Today, know that all the weather, and even the storms of your life are all in God's hands. There will never be a moment that God is not protecting you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “You can make many plans, but the Lord’s purpose will prevail.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭ “I kno...

Wherever You Go.

“Wherever you go and whatever you do, you will be blessed.” Deuteronomy‬ ‭28:6‬  ‭Our protection is found in Christ alone. We have to stop depending on others to always stand up for us. I have learned that no one in this world will ever protect me like Jesus will. The best part about Him being our protector is that no matter where we go and where we are God is still there with us. He will be with us wherever we go. That means that there has never and will never be a moment that we are alone without Him. Today, find peace in knowing that the same God who is always protecting you is also with you wherever you go. Here are some verse to reflect on today. “For he will order his angels to protect you wherever you go.” Psalms‬ ‭91:11‬ ‭ “This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”” Joshua‬ ‭1:9‬ ‭ “But Ruth replied, “Don’t ask me to leave you and turn back. Wherever you go, I will go; wherever you live,...

Rejoice In The Lord.

“Always be full of joy in the Lord. I say it again—rejoice!” Philippians‬ ‭4:4‬ ‭ Today is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Today I was stressed, I was guilty of thinking the worst had happened. That showed I needed to have more faith. Everyday God gives us is a blessing, we should choose to spend the day rejoicing in God. You need to have faith in knowing God has taken care of the things you spend your time worrying about. I am guilty of letting the enemy control my mind at times, and that is not a good thing. God knows we aren't going to be perfect, but He expects us to trust that He has our best interest in mind and He is working it all out for our good. We cannot trust God and let the enemy control our minds. We have to trust God even when the day seems bad, knowing that it will end good because God is working it all out for our good. Today, rejoice in the Lord. Knowing that all things will workout if you're trusting God. Here are some verses to ...

His Mercy Remains.

“So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.” ‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭4:16‬ ‭ A thousand times we have failed, but His mercy remains. We can fail Him over and over again and He will love you no matter what. His mercy has never and will never fail you, it covers any and all sins. When we mess up, we have to remember His mercy is there for us. He knew we were imperfect and always would be, that is why He sent Jesus. Our forgiveness is based on our willingness to change, our faith and if we choose the right path to have a full relationship with God receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost. We cannot feed our flesh and push away the Holy Spirit. It's impossible to please God if we have yet to open our hearts to Him. Today, if you want to receive His mercy, ask Him for it. He will give it if you choose to turn away from your sins and give your life to Him. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “The...

God's Best Is For You!

“But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint.” Isaiah‬ ‭40:31‬ ‭ Keep on praying, because God is faithful. He knows your needs and He will provide for you. We tend to grow weary when we feel that God isn't opening doors fast enough, but sometimes God is working and we don't even know it yet. God's plans are always good for us, it's the waiting that shows our trust for Him. If we cannot believe without seeing then we have no faith. We have to trust God even when we don't know what is next. God is always up to something amazing for us if only we will trust what He has coming next. Sometimes you have to let go of what you thought was best and know whatever God has for you is better than anything you could ever think of for yourself. The process doesn't always look like the outcome and that's where the doubt sits in. Today, trust that the next doo...

You Can Never Run Too Far.

“So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.”” Deuteronomy‬ ‭31:6‬ ‭ Tonight as I stopped by my house I realized my dog was out of the fence. I went into straight panic. I called my parents and they headed to help look for her. I asked the neighbors on our road and they had not seen her, By this time my parents arrived, I was across the street at the neighbors house and heard my mom say she heard dogs, I never heard what she actually said that being she heard my dog barking. I decided to go see what the dogs the next street over were barking at. I slowly drove down the road looking. I was sad, as I drove I prayed begging God to let me find her. As I got to the middle of the next road over, I seen her in a yard. I hollered her name, and she looked at me. As the door opened she came full force and jumped in the car, and sat down in my backseat. She looked so ha...

Stop Being A People Pleaser.

“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans‬ ‭3:23‬ ‭ Why do we sit and worry about what other people think about us when at the end of the day it amounts to nothing? For a long time I was a people pleaser, constantly worrying about what other people thought of me. I realized one day that nothing anyone said about me changed what God thinks of me. I realized that no matter how good of a person I am, how many good deeds I have done and will do that some people will never like me due to my faith. Not everyone liked Jesus or He wouldn't have had to hang on the cross. What I am getting at is why worry about what someone else thinks of you when God knows your deepest darkest secrets, every mistake you have ever made, and yet He still loves you just the same. His love isn't based on what anyone could ever think of you, instead His love is based on creating you. He made you perfect in His eyes, and He loves you just the way you are. He doesn't h...

Don't Be Controlled.

““I also tell you this: If two of you agree here on earth concerning anything you ask, my Father in heaven will do it for you.” Matthew‬ ‭18:19‬ ‭ The enemy wants to torture your mind and God wants to give you peace. Today, the enemy fought me and at the time I didn't realize it was him. I had left my external hard drive at work a few weeks back, I remembered seeing it in the break room and saying I would bring it home another day. We have only a few employees and I know they wouldn't take it. Today, I realized it was gone. To some it might have meant absolutely nothing, but to me it was a huge deal. It had all my stuff on it down to pictures that I cherished. I was so upset. I looked for hours everywhere I could think of, even my car. I tried to forget about it but I knew soon as I got home I was going to be so upset. A client had came in during me being upset and prayed I would find it. My mom and I agreed that we prayed that also as the Bible says where two are three agree H...

No Place I'd Rather Be.

“He went in alone and shut the door behind him and prayed to the Lord.” 2 Kings‬ ‭4:33‬ ‭ There is no place I would rather be than in the presence of God is the mindset we need to have everyday. We find ourselves so caught up in things in life, and situations. We tend to forget that the real meaning of life is about worshiping God. We put everyone and everything ahead of God as if He shouldn't be our number one priority. The Bible says that we must love God with all of our hearts, all of our souls and all of our minds. That leaves no room for worldly things. Why is it that we choose to put those things ahead of the one person that we should put first? The answer is we want to follow our flesh. We put fleshly and earthly things above Him. We need to keep our minds set on heavenly things. Nothing in the world is worth losing our souls over so why would we out it ahead of Him. Today, stop putting all things above God and put God above everything else. Nothing matters without God and t...

What Is Meant To Be Will Be!

“If you keep quiet at a time like this, deliverance and relief for the Jews will arise from some other place, but you and your relatives will die. Who knows if perhaps you were made queen for just such a time as this?”” Esther‬ ‭4:14‬  ‭The story of Esther is one of my favorites, and so is this verse above. Have you ever noticed that Mordecai told her that if she didn't do what she was supposed to do, help would come from another place? I was thinking of a situation where I am in a place waiting for someone to help open a door for me to get a job. That I needed God to open a door for me, and I felt Him say, that if the person He has set to help open the door doesn't do so, that help will come for another place. We often find ourselves in fear that things won't open up, things won't have the outcome that we want because it's left up to someone else to step in and help. In those times we can count on the fact that the person that was called to help open the door for u...

Tell Everyone About God!

“In the same way, the Lord ordered that those who preach the Good News should be supported by those who benefit from it.” 1 Corinthians‬ ‭9:14‬ ‭ It's our job as Christians to tell others about Jesus. We have to think of lost souls like we would ourselves. If we were living in sin, if we were lost, if we were in a place where we didn't know about Jesus we would want someone to tell us about Him. We have to tell others the goodness, hope, forgiveness and grace God has given us. You need to remind others of how God has saved you and can do the same for them. I remember as a kid I was so open to tell others about my faith in God. The Bible says we have to become like children, I realized that maybe it's because they tell others about Jesus without fear of being judged. We need to be open to speaking about Jesus in front of any and everyone. Telling others about Jesus is our main goal in life, you never know the impact it could make by telling others about Him. Today, tell othe...

Your Thoughts Will Lead You Astray.

“The Lord directs our steps, so why try to understand everything along the way?” Proverbs‬ ‭20:24‬ ‭ We tend to align our thoughts and actions with our wants and what we feel is right for us. That is where we can easily go wrong. See the Bible says we can think our actions are right, but only God knows our heart. We can feel a decision, action or thoughts are right but after all they aren't. What is most important is our salvation. We need to seek God before doing anything, our flesh will constantly lead us into sin. We have made mistakes, everyone does, but we are also forgiven. We cannot let our flesh lead the way and expect to end up in God's perfect plan for us. Instead we have to ask God to guide us, we need to make sure our mind is aligned with God's plan. God is the only way we can ever know we are doing something right, our own mind and heart can lead us wrong. Today, make sure to ask God to show you what is right for you, what is right within you, and what you sho...

A Year Can Change A lot.

“Commit your actions to the Lord, and your plans will succeed.” Proverbs‬ ‭16:3‬ ‭ Look at your life one year ago from this day, and realize just how far God has brought you. We all have faced different trails, challenges, and battles in the last year. While we all have also experienced peace, joy, hope and strength at times in the last year. Something we have to realize is although times haven't always been easy, God is always bringing us to a higher level. Nothing in life is perfect, but we can count on the fact that when God does something for us the door that opens will be perfect for us. Maybe this year was great for you, and that goes to show that a lot that God has done for you in the last year. Others might not have had the best past year, and that goes to show that God is still working things out and it only gets better from here. Today, know that God had a perfect plan for your life. This year can be a year of hope, miracles, strength and peace if you choose to let God wo...

God Is In The Details.

“Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.” Hebrews‬ ‭11:1‬ ‭ If God let us in on every detail of our lives and our futures there would be no room for faith. Where our faith grows is in the moments that we are most confused, when we don't understand circumstances, we go to God for answers. We depend on Him for strength, guidance and hope. Those are the moments that we grow faith the most, because we aren't depending on what we see or feel, instead we are depending on God. When we put our whole faith in God, we truly understand the depth of what our faith is. We learn to lean not on our understanding, but instead on God. Faith is believing without seeing, and that is where we truly learn to depend on God. Today, trust God with the details you don't know, maybe that is where the faith is growing. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command, that what we no...

The Right Relationship With God!

“The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives.” Psalms‬ ‭37:23‬ ‭ You are so precious to God. When God created us He didn't get in a rush. Every detail about us, our parents, our genes, our hair color, our personality, our friends, our school, our job, our way of thinking, our height, our name all of it matters to God. Every tiny decision, every tiny detail is important to God. There was this time in my life where I chose small decisions, random things that I thought amounted to nothing, even down to the parking spot I parked in mattered that day. God opened a door where I knew it could only be Him. He made a way but I made small decisions that mattered. Now although I didn't pray about the small things such as the parking spot that day, I was in the right mindset, the right place in my relationship with God that I allowed God to guide me unknowingly. We can do that everyday if we will get in the right place. We cannot live in sin and expe...

God's Grace Is A Gift.

“God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.”Ephesians‬ ‭2:8‬ ‭ God's grace is deeper than any of your failures. We have all made mistakes and walked ourselves into sin, situations and choices that we knew was not right. We all have done things that have made us far from perfect. We also have received a grace from God that cannot even be comprehend. We have to find that grace by asking for it. God's grace is not something that can or needs to be measured, instead we should receive it as the gift that it is. Today, accept that grace and stop punishing yourself for the things you've done. If God can forgive you then you can forgive yourself. God's grace covers it all, and you are more than forgiven. Let go and let God forgive you. Here are some verses to reflect on today. “So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it m...
